Someone in the next street had put spare rhubarb plants outside for people to take. So Jane another rhubarb plant. Not entirely sure where I’ll put it yet, but love rhubarb.
The strawberry plants I have in the gh are covered in flowers. Looks like I might get a decent crop this year as the outside ones are protected from squirrels by a decent frame and wire construction.
Last night was too cold but we’ve had a few nights where we’ve heard both crickets from the field and frogs/ toads? from the nearby river calling out into the early hours.
Reminds me of foreign holidays with the family!
I’m just listening to the crickets and frogs again, but I’m actually also happy because earlier today the neighbouring farmer turned out 12 of his cows with their week old calves in the field behind our garden/ field.
So lovely watching the little uns frolicking around like lambs
"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
Never seen one before. Glad to see it because for some reason we have a lot of slugs as well as the usual gazillion snails. In another way, sad, as I presume the fact that it's this far north is an indication of climate change.
