te he jay...still no news! 4 days over and she sounds tired.
Much warmer here too Flo - I might even be tempted to get on with some weed clearance later on.
As each year passes I am noticing how much more I’m being put off by cold weather gardening.Don’t mind the wet, but deffo not the cold.
Urmmm...Nick...there’s a couple of buns missing.....was that you or my OH?
Remember it’s pancake Day!...Hope you’re all having pancakes?
"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
Fingers crossed for today, Nicos. But talk about the long arm of the law. I'd need a very long arm of the cake to reach from here. Probably just as well I can't. Am already planning cake for the weekend. And maybe some stuffed buckwheat pancakes. Thanks for the reminder.
Very hard frost again out there. Got work to keep me busy this morning and tidying this afternoon. And then tomorrow: gardening starts for real.
Morning, I'd forgotten about pancake day never mind I'll have mine tomorrow I like thick pancakes topped with fruit and yoghurt. MrP had his covered in honey thats to sweet for me.
Morning. Is it reasonable to hope the spell of cold weather will have given the slugs a kicking?
Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing-'Oh how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,
While better men than we go out and start their working lives

MBE, no chance, they just cuddle up to each other to keep warm.
The cold killed a lot of the top growth on my large sage bush, but I haven't cut it back as in some of the browned, droopy leaves there are ladybirds slowly awakening. If they hung on to life above ground, no doubt the slugs are thriving below ground.
Out for a walk and a call to the post office.
My daughter went teoc weeks over when she was having both her children.
The wait seemed too on for ever.
Maybe today is the day Nicos.
Have a good day all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

You could have said yes, and given me hope.

Prevening All Back from the dentist, scaled and cleaned. Lip feels like blubber, but saved a lot of pain. Still raining. Last day tomorrow at the Hospital, working from home then until next Wednesday. Thinking of you Nicos, it's an exciting time for you. Now pass the cake, I'll be able to eat it in an hour or so
