Addicted to spicy noodles

I think I have an addiction to spicy noodles.
The cheapo packs that have two sachets of stuff.
Plus an additional splash of tabasco.

One sachet is a dry powder, based on chilli I think.
The other is a brown liquid, not sure what it is.

Does anyone also have a similar addiction?
Anyone know what the brown liquid is?

Does it not say on the packet Jimmy...not quite sure what make you are talking about.
If you can find out what it is then you can make your own at a fraction of the price!!!

Could be soy but there seems to be two shades of liquid!

Do you have a good recipe for the additions?

Will look at pack but its in some weird language.

I can live without spicy noodles, but chocolate and butter... they are essential to life. I have just made butter biscuits dipped in chocolate at one end as a gift. I had to make the full recipe because of the egg (honest, don't even start to tell me I could have weighed it, put in half, etc.). Mr Snoop has taken in two boxes as gifts in the end, but there are still lots left. I've had to put them downstairs in the basement, but even from here, I can hear them calling to me...

Jimmy, I bet you could come up with something similar. I bet you'd love mushroom soy sauce. Mr Snoop goes a bit mad with it. Really is different to ordinary soy sauce, light or dark. Maybe mix it with some chilli oil or sriracha and some peanut butter for a bit of crunchy texture and oiliness if you don't use chilli oil and stir through some noodles. Scrumptialicious, I bet.

I suspect my addiction is connected with the added splash of tabasco.
Also the bast bit is not the noodles but slurping the broth.

Our local Sainsbury's has had kimchi (pickled fermented cabbage with salt, mooli, chilli and more salt) and ramyeon (spicy noodles as they are meant to be) over the last couple of weeks. Haven't had any since I was last working in South Korea in 1986...
