Post away - we make no judgements here!

I had a gorgeous rhubarb crumble a month or so ago - forgot how much I love the stuff!!!
I love to talk about nothing. It's the only thing I know anything about!!

Thanks for the offer Polly Fouracre but the answer is neither really. I was just trying to give a little advice to what I thought was a genuine grape. Just saying that it would be easier to grow from a crown (if they could obtain one) than from seed (which is what the original post was supposedly about).

Looks like in reality all they were doing was fishing for e-mail addresses.
It is the doom of man, that they forget.

I have had five requests for seeds and three of them have got the word banned underneath their name, glad I didnt respond to them. The other two who asked i'm sorry but at the moment I am a bit aprehensive about sending stuff out. Please bear with me a while longer. You know who you are.

Yeah - there's no reason whatsoever for anyone to have your email address if it's seeds they're wanting - just hope nobody gets tricked and spammed.

aaa was the same blokey as lawn - he had the same email address on his profile.

Lets keep 'em peeled and use that little triangle at the top.

Jackie - whatever you do won't give your email address out to anyone, they don't need it if they want to swap seeds.

I'd give it a while for this to die down, and then get back to those that seem genuine.

I'm not being funny to newbies, but perhaps there needs to be some ruling on seed swaps, ie have x number of posts before you can seed swap, or being on here x number of months. After all, it does involve exchanging addresses in some way or other.

I've recently sent seeds to some newbies, but I did some research on back posts and they seemed genuine enough, so they got the seeds. I never send to anyone who just posts seed wants only.

To check - click on the person's name, and on 'find all posts by x', and have a look through the previous posts. If they are all in the seed swap, then I'd be a bit wary of responding at all.

What Lawn did was post a couple of posts and threads to look as if they were interested in gardening...just be careful everyone.

[There's always one that spoils it, what a shame].
