Morning icy puddles in the garden early on but the suns now out and so are my plants, no snow here but the gritters were out up in the hills.
Good to see you Jay xx hope you're doing ok.
There I was reading back thinking “ooo...no frost this morning!”....and then the heavens opened with a massive hailstorm
All very exciting - by the time I got my camera they had melted
Lovely to see you Jay and thanks for the smiles Snoop...just feeling in need of a few today tbh. No reason, but we all need a bit of a boost from time to time don’t we?
Think I might just scatter a few of those smiles to my friends and family too today and text/phone them . Nothing like a bit of a natter eh?
Right...time for a brew.....
Help yourselves!

Oh and I forgot to mention, my middle of the night Hibou ‘treat’ was an unused face mask she’d brought up from on top of the high shelf by the front door.
I really should set up the night camera indoors shouldn’t I???

We have just had two hail showers.
It feel like winter.
You must be on the same line of latitude as me because we have just had the same. Did a bit of bricklaying earlier, then my Son arrived with his new baby, after that I walked the dog then the hailstones hit us. All tools now added to the wheelbarrow and I said sod it for today.

Morning all
Up with the lark again..
Reading about all the hail stones everyone's been having I think we must be lucky to have missed them. Bit of a frost again this morning but hopefully it'll be the last one.
Not up with the lark, but I need to be. Daytime temps are rising. Quite nice if you're not doing anything vigorous but I got quite hot doing some scything yesterday. So not much progress made and no time this morning either. Low last night was 6.3 ºC. Few more nights around 5 ºC due. Might have to pot some plants up rather than put them straight out, but could be worse.
Hail is perhaps the worst weather condition we have. Hope all your plants, greenhouses and polytunnels survived.
The smiles are doing snake impersonations this morning, it would seem. No jumping bag today but there's a lot of wriggling going on by the look of it. Probably best if I just let a load out and let them make their way to you.
Morning
Frost and thick fog this morning . Found a big fluffy baby chaffinch on the decking snuggled into a ball. It was -3.5 in the greenhouse let alone outside poor thing. I didn't want to leave it with the amount of moggies round here so I've opened greenhouse and scooped up with a towel and popped it in an open show box on staging nr the door. OH said a bird hit a window yesterday but not sure what . Wouldv thought if it had been there in the day one of our dogs would spotted it.
