Morning no frost today that does make a change

Our local butcher used to make his own suet but he's now closed so these days I mostly use veggie suet I know its not the same but nothing compares to that he used to sell.

Good morning all. No frost here and the sun is trying to come out.
A trip to the florist this morning to get some flowers.
Today is my mothers birthday so I will be visiting the cemetery.
I need to pot on some calendula that are getting too big for the seed tray.

Good afternoon all,lovely and sunny,
Nicos i don't know if butchers still do it,but i remember something about fat from them,buying in a lump,and grating it,it seemed to be white in colour more open weave,not the sort of fat we associate with the bacon fat,thats what was used before atora came out,no other news i want to hear,only what do not ,got to start sowing some seeds,might just abandon some of them for this year,have lost faith in getting moved in time to benefit sowing them,for good results,perhaps in not hurt for 1 year,have a good day and Bgood2yourselfes.

after having turned off our central heating boiler to receive the fuel delivery it wouldn’t go back on

Called the specialist and they are coming later on in the week

so no hot water...thank goodness we have the wood fires for heating.

I’m just going to have to use kettles and thermos flasks then - like we’ll have to in the camper

oooh!!!!.....we can try out the portable shower in the bath now!!! Exciting or what????

RIGHT,son had a chat with our agent,said he wants the truth ext ext ext,upshot is,so he says,our buyers are all ready and packed up like we are,and their first time buyer,should have what they waiting for next week,and maybe 2 weeks,hopefully a moving date,and yes,i have done some seeds,it lovely out side working,if this does not happen,the air will be a very dark blue,full of venom,am going to ring another mover up,the other1 never did get back to me,so not worth the bother,if not,son says we will have to hire a couple of vans,and do it ourselves,so once again into the land off hope and maybe,got a feeling this could just go very quickly,fingers crossed everyone.

Busy gardening day , weeding ..not very exciting but needs doing. Lovely weather , shorts n vest here . Cooler now though, woodburner is lit.

No frost, seems a bit strange but I could get used to it

Nicos, I remember some of my female relatives chopping and grating the hard fat from around beef kidneys when I was young. Butchers never used to charge for it. One Christmas I made mincemeat and because some was for my sister ( who doesn't eat meat) I made half the jars with atora vegetable suet. The mincemeat tasted the same. I'm not sure what fat is in the veggie version.

Yesterday my husband managed to weed out my french lavender bush (dead sticks he said). Aaaarrrggghhhhh! It was a beautiful day yesterday and lovely to be out in the fresh air. This morning looks promising too so far. I think today may well be the first picking of asparagus.

No frost here either Though we do have cloud forecast all day. I don't think today is a shorts day.
Housework needs tackled, work , deliveries and gardening later. Also have food shop delivery later too.

Still no news re our heating boiler - it’ll be nice to get a visit, then no doubt a wait for a part
