Think I spent most of the 80s in maternity clothes!! Also had a disastrous perm - turns out my hair loves perming solution, it curled straight into an afro and never 'relaxed' so I had to grow it out - always an attractive look!
Life is too short for drama & petty things!
So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!

Leopard pants aren't essential So long as they're very, very tight In fact black is probably more typical, shiny leather or PVC! And big, big hair & plenty of makeup

Try the 'New Age' type shops too, they often have the sorts of scarves and jewellery which look just right

hmmmm, the 80's let me see. tight jeans, tee shirt and long hair ... about waist length well I was into zz top, ted nugent, blue oyster cult and ac/dc to name a few. as to shoes, we used to have quite a good shoe industry round here at one time so I had some made by a friend so if you can imagine something like a 12 hole doc with white leather and dk ble suede and crepe soles well you get the image.

bit different to the 70's ... I wish I'd still got the salmon pink 3pc suit and the metalic bronze boots

i was more into the ska stuff with drainpipes and monkey boots, with red harrington jacket. i would have given anything for a pair of cherry red docs and a skin head, my dad would have murdered me though.
the music was so much better then though wasn't it!

Sounds like the OH He's still got his cherry red docs, lurking in the back of a cupboard
It's a good job we didn't meet back then, we'd have hated each other - him on his Lambretta & me a biker rock chick

Neither - it was the naughties...

My OH and I would never have got on either - me = rock chick and him = soul brother. We do rib each other re: musical tastes but I can appreciate reggae alot more now and he does indeed enjoy the Libertines and such like.

I had a bright blue tracksuit and some of those boots with HUGE tongues, a la Neneh Cherry. I alternated between horrendous perms (made worse as I was rather fat!) and the Human League 'flick', but because my hair is ultra fine and flyaway, I had to use half a can of spray on it and it turned into a wing on windy days! Didn't have too much fluorescent stuff, except the compulsory towelling socks!
