ah so it is - under all the wine bottles

I don't ever buy computers with speakers, hate the darn things, so only have my DAB to try and sort out - can't read the type in the manual tho for all the wine stains.....

      Sheesh.

I find radio stations on DAB by finding the scan button and zipping through until i get the one I want.

Sorry Bobleponge...but I am not a sports fan in the slightest - I only got into it when my OH kept borrowing my car and I had to drive his and it was on - and like Piskie I couldn't work out [whilst driving] how to change channels. It's a manual car so it was hard enough to drive anyway with my rotten elbow so I am afraid it takes all my concentration changing gear all the flippin time. Harrumph!!! I do love grumpy bloke on drive time though.

What 5 Live need to do is to go FM so I don't get the cross channel interference on AM - and to get a gardening programme as you say and we'd be sorted.

Incidentally...when we were in France earlier this year, I taught my OH's Daughter [11] to recite 'J'taime bobleponge' at every opportunity. It was a slow week...

*blushes at thought of 11 year old girl in love with him*

Agree with the FM bit though. Its painful at times on a car radio on the occasional days I am back in the UK.

No idea what AM/FM/MW all really mean, but all's I do know is that you don't get that annoying wheeeyooou noise on FM, hence I don't listen to anything other than FM stations.

Headphones then? You don't need good speakers for the radio, these are just a fiver.

Can anybody tell me what this post was actually about and why non-gardening chatterboxes would be a) on this site and b) listening to Gardeners Question Time??????? Been a long day and this makes no sense!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I think it was just fun, Alison
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

That's as maybe but it's obviously one of those things that doesn't make any sense to an outsider

Hang on a minute, was only asking what it was about as I thought that I might have missed something interesting and the original outsider comment was meant to be a joke based on the fact that Seahorse had responded without explaining, however you're actually making me feel like one now! Obviously I was wrong to try and join in your thread so will go away now and leave you in peace and promise never to use more than one question mark in future as it's obviously not allowed. And, not that's not meant to be offensive just what I'm feeling.

if either of us is the 'outsider' Alison it is me - you have been here a lot longer than I have.

Your comment annoyed me, I annoyed you - for my part, I apologise, it isn't in my make-up to knowingly upset people. Sorry

WHOAAA!!!!! ( yes thats 5, pratchet fans will know thats a mark of insanity)

this is going WAY to far! ( thats one, means i am serious)

there are NO outsiders on this site, anymore than being a member for a zillion years makes anyone better than anyone else.
if you don't understand a post, ask, if you don't understand the answer, ask for clarification, and NEVER allow it to get personal, cos it very rarely is. some threads don't make sense to me either, if i cant get it, i move on, but i never for one minute think i am left out, relax, enjoy, it is never wrong to join in a thread.

No worries, my post wasn't meant to annoy you (or anybody else either) so sorry if it did. Have no idea how long most people have been on there although I'm fairly certain that the likes of Nick have been on here for an eternity! Probably should have PM'd my last post but didn't so too late now.

Re the outsider bit, I chose to be so quite a bit as I can't be bothered to get involved in some of the long running jokes - far too much effort to catch up if you've not been on all day.
