I wanted to get myself an allotment, not even this year but next and all the waiting lists are years and years long.
I have a garden which I can convert to a plot and am going to be doing this soon, I even have a small space out the front garden which gets sunlight so I think in all I can probably get the same amount of growing space at home as I would get at an allotment.
But I am not happy with that, I want an allotment, I want it to be a place I can go to so I can get out and have some quiet me time, although I will be alone in my garden and the times I will be tending to it I will be home alone it's not the same. But I feel guilty about sulking about it as I know I am lucky to have a garden and some people on waiting lists haven't even got that.
Why are we never happy with what we have got?
