I'm running Vista, and have been for nearly a year. We had some hiccups to begin with, but it's absolutely fine now. We use Outlook for email and I'm on I.E. right now (hate Firefox), also running AVG Free (regularly updated) and also Spyware Doctor (which I paid for, it's Well Worth It!).
I have NO problems with the 'Vine at all, save for it going slow/stopping at around 10 past midnight, but that's update time, I think.

Piskie, why don't you try sending a PM to Ben or Dave in the morning and ask them if they have any ideas?

(((hugs))) in the meantime, I hate pooter probs

madmax ........ he was 13 at the time ....... i very nearly splatted him ........ ended up having to format the pc .......... and banning him from t'interweb when i was out.

the only reason i still have vista on the lappy, is cos it came with it and i cant be bothered changing ...... i only use ie for this site and hotmail, cos i can get on more often with that, than firefox .......mind you i've also lost most of the buttons on here on firefox too ........ might give the chrome thing a go and see what happens.

Similar here, running Vista Home & IE7 & AVG free & a router firewall...no problemo...

vista i hate it, we have it in the lap top which we mostly use as its the down stairs compter, add that to being on aol, in a dip slight valley and i get this problem on may occasion and forum, the xp on the upstairs computer is a lot better and some programs you buy arnt vista compatable either, humpf
id put xp in the lap top, but cant be bothered, as too big a job so just manage, what i will say is when the lap is no good and we get a new one it wont have vista. not even if they pay me.

I thought I might not like Vista but when you turn off the 'hand-holding' stuff I think its great! I keep it updated and like it more than XP which is on the upstairs pc & other laptop.
