I'll give that a try. I can't honestly remember if we've had it or not, but I'm sure they'll soon tell me if we have.

EDIT: we've already had it, back in 2002. Just dug out old paperwork to check, so can vouch that it is real!! Have passed on to everyone I know with kids.

If its your P60 you're looking for, don't stress too much if you can't find it. HMRC are sent a copy by your employer so they should be able to find your details as long as you have your National Insurance No. etc.

If you can provide your P60 i think it will just speed the process up

If the allowance is for 2002/03, you must make the claim by 5 April 2009

Got quietly excited by this, then OH went to his (very efficient!) file and dug out P60 - we've already had it, but as OH said, it would have been very welcome at the time! I'm surprised neither of us remembered getting it, but life can be a bit of a blur sometimes can't it! Good luck to others though, and thanks to Hashette for the tip off.

I just rang and as OH was the higher earner he has to ring himself.

OH is the earner, but not the kids biological father. Bet that means we cant get it?

oh i dunno i was with me ex at the time and hes not his biological father we claimed as a couple as we were together for quite a few years,so perhaps common law comes into i dont know, im trying to find my p60 i can find all other years just not the ones i need typical,

small print at the bottom says you marriatal status is irrevant and if your p60 has a h or a t after it you have already claimed

If you were married at the time and you were both earning, would it have gone to the higher earner or to the mother, does anyone know?

I have my P60 and my code final code is L, so I know I didn't get it.

The HMRC have said my now ex OH has to ring but he's refused to and he's also refused to give me his details, so I'm bit stumped

                              Any advice anyone?

                              Cheers!
