Beautiful blue sky and sun, and not a breath of wind, just like an early spring day. A pair of robins are fighting in the garden and and posing their red breasts at each other. They must think it's spring too. Makes me itch to sow seeds, but too early for me yet.
Just seen some shocking footage of wind damage in Ireland and northern UK on the Beeb. People sharing heartbreaking footage of their allotments on Facebook as well. I saw the UK weather forecast on the Beeb as well. Hold onto your hats, guys. Might not be as bad as Éowyn, but it doesn't look great. All we've got coming up is a week of clouds, drizzle and a stiff breeze by your standards.
Might as well bung the bulbs in, CG. Better in than out, I imagine.
Sounds like you've got a lovely day ahead, Flo. Hope it all goes well.
As for me, I'm in recovery today. Been working like mad on one of the most annoying jobs I've ever done. Finished it late last night. Phew. Going to have the day off and settle to some listening to music and a bit of baking. And a long fuss with the cat and a decent walk with the dog if the drizzle holds off. One proper task: get firewood in.

Still quite windy up here and forecast another storm and snow for tomorrow, I was planning on going to collect seed potatoes, they might have to wait. Had a wander round the village, apart from a few battered fences and one slipped roof tile, we look to have escaped the worst of it.
Good afternoon all. Bright and sunny but cold.
Another storm, Hermenia, forecast for over the weekend. Supposedly not as dangerous, we will wait and see.
Enjoy your day out Flo.
Snoop, you deserve a day off.
Did you find your seeds Lotty?
unfortunately I am still confined indoors with this awful virus.
Enjoy your day all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
Afternoon, glad everyone has come throught the storm, the thing to be aware off is,when this other 1 arrives, will it remove any already weakend ones,so all be aware of roof tiles ext, hope you get rid of the virus,.soon Bramble not nice,
Bramble no not yet,i have just gone through my seed stash, not only to look, but getting some vibes for the season, and putting aside those that are well past or i got more than i want, some are (ex magazine's),i also have a group ready for the next couple of months, but i am trying to heed Brens wise words off many moons ago,do not always go by what the pkt says,no matter how twitchy the fingers get, when i get [the room tidied up again,i will have to start a systamatic search, also check against the list off new seeds i purchased last,so hope to find out what the heck i am looking for,i do know the labels are also written ready where ever they are, just hope they not got threw out,as they were sitting on the kitchen work top for a few weeks, just waiting ho hum, need another drink and some food,

Evening n’alln’all
Just got my access back to the internet!
Lovely to be able to check in again….I missed you all
Where we were staying wasn’t very far from the red alert area but flippin ‘eck it’s been windy
Travelling to Yorkshire though today was lovely and sunny. Certainly some warmth in the sun to bring on Spring bulbs - so long as they were protected from the subarctic winds…brrrrr.
Tis Burns Night today so we’re having haggis - yummy yum- not had any for literally years.
I’ll try and catch up over the next few days but wanted to pop in to say hi.
Keep safe and warm peeps

Evening, after some snow this morning it turned out a lovely afternoon.
We too are having our haggis, neeps and tatties tonight with a little whisky sauce…yuuummmmy!
Enjoy your evening folks.
Day turned out lovely but cold. Managed to get most of the bulbs in, lots needs done but was nice to be out there. Even had a cuppa sat outside.
Tired now though.
