  • Morning all, hope this finds you well! Just had a few days with the family which we thoroughly enjoyed! Granddaughter was a bit grizzly at times but who cares, it was lovely to have her here. They have all gone home now so time to put the house back together! Making your house child friendly when it’s not is a big job but I love it as it means she is visiting!!
Hope you are all well. The garden is looking awful at the moment as there has hardly been a dry day for ages so haven’t been able to get out to do a tidy up. There doesn’t appear to be many dry days coming up either.
Anyhoo, I’m off for a quick catch up. Enjoy your day everyone. x

      • Good afternoon all. When will I learn to ignore the weather forecast. Today's unrelenting heavy downpours are not at all like the forecast. I got saturated just walking about 15 yards to the car....and it's windy too.

            • Good evening all.
Decided to sort out my smaller freezer this afternoon.
Lots of small amounts of veg just sitting there.
I sorted them all out and thawed them out.
I now have a pot of soup that will keep us going for a week or two,
Now more space in the freezer.
Very pleased with my afternoons work.
              Have a good evening all.

              • Jay, it reminds me of my grandson when he was getting into everything.
The thing that always saught me out was the dials on the washing machine.
He was forever twirling them and I was forever forgetting to check them afterwards.
I have had several loads of laundry on a wrong cycle or spinning around for ever.
Now he is past all that...it only lasts for a while. 😏

                • Good morning, had a quick look out the window and realised there was something different, took a second or two before I recognised what it was, its not raining unfortunately I still won't be able to get out to the garden as OH wants to go shopping . Jay it becomes a regular thing altering things in your home as the grandchildren grow, I have had to lift the lighting up to save three of them hitting the light shades with their heads, as for the doors, they can duck down a bit🙄 as I am definitely not altering the doorway. I am now going to get ready to go shopping, though I might not be having a good day I will pass on some smiles, hope you all do the same
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                  • Morning all. Grey and miserable again here but at least it's not raining....yet. My house has never been particularly child friendly but I do my best when I get young visitors. I once had all my seed potatoes laid out to chit in seed trays (a different variety in each tray) when a young niece visited and unbeknownst to both her mother and I she decided to "tidy" them. I thought she was just talking to them in toddler gibberish. I only realised what she had done when I had purple and white flowered plants growing in the same row a few months later.

I'm going to do the grory hop later this morning. Mr GF has already got another pannetone at the top of the list.

                    • Morning

No rain here today either Rary the gardens still a bit soggy and my water butts are full.
This morning I've got a few things to take to the charity shop and I'll probably come back with something I didn't know I needed until I spotted it.

                      Enjoy your day

                      • Mornin n’alln’all
A lovely dry, partly sunny morning here too!
And guess what? We too are going for a grory hop today too.
Didn’t need much but we’ve been having a bit of a clear out as you know .
One thing we had up for sale was an almost brand new electric heater. We have three of them and only really need two as a back up so decided to sell one at a giveaway price. They live near a massive hypermarket so we offered to drop it off to them. At least it’ll cover the cost of the petrol getting there
Funny that when you don’t really need anything ( apart from milk) you can still make up a very decent sized shopping list!. Skill and expertise eh?
Nearby Lidl have an offer on Milka advent calendars so no doubt I’ll be picking up that at the same time

So, just time for a quick brew….

                        • Morning all.

Yesterday turned into a rubbish day due to the announcement of a lorry drivers strike starting Monday. The last one went on for three weeks. Not that long, but long enough for stocks in shops to run very low. So, time for online flour and chocolate shopping (hoping to try my hand at panettone and stollen this year), plus bulk cat food. The rubbish aspect yesterday was due to the fact that I still hadn't managed to get my new mobile working and this required walking up hill and down dale searching for a signal. Several times. I was very hot and bothered by the end of it and my temper was well and truly lost somewhere along the way. I thought the reason why it wasn't working was my fault but turned out to be a problem with the sim card not being initialised by the company. Glad to get it sorted, but it was a very frustrating problem. Knocked my confidence a bit for six, thinking I'm reaching that age when new technology is beyond me.

Anyway, a grory shop here too today when Mr Snoop returns from the post office.

                          Have a great day, everyone.

Snoop does lorry drivers include fuel tanker drivers?

My sister is now moaning that her daughter (the potato tidier of many years ago) is telling her that she has to stop relying on her for all her tech needs and become more tech savvy. This is the same sister who used to be a self confessed Luddite but has actually embraced technology more in recent times.
