Snow yesterday evening it looked like we were in a pretty snow globe, by bedtime it was raining so this morning we're down to only 4-5 inch of snow.
Snoop have a lovely lunch and we can all share the spare cake layer unless Rary gets there first.
Oh - forgot to mention….for those of you with snow, apparently there was 3” of snow on the ground on the day I was born all those years ago, so it’s not so unusual
Have a great day peeps- I’m sure I will…ooooo…was that the smiles I just saw whizzing overhead sprinkling some happiness?
Is that bit of information from family memories, or had they started keeping a record of the weather, even in those long gone days?
I hope you have a good day Nicos, happy birthday
Good afternoon, was at the Kirk this morning, fortunately it was dry going to, and coming from, but heavy rain now, when going to bed about one-o-clock last night it was snowing quite heavily, but it was all gone when I got up this morning, the forecast is that the temperature will stay up about 8°c to 2 but back to frost Monday, Tuesday, I do hope the weather picks up as we will be heading for the Lake District to celebrate our wedding anniversary, where with a bit of luck I will get a bit of.... cake and possibly other treats . Enjoy the rest of the day and pass on some smiles
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers
And good afternoon all. I've had a mixed up day today and all because I firmly believed that yesterday was Friday. How could that happen? Saturday is the day for changing beds, washing towels and all the other laundry, plus domestics like vaccuuming and dusting. So obviously it didn't get done as I was a day behind. It was quite a shock when I discovered about 6pm yesterday that it was actually Saturday. Today I've had to fit in all Saturday's chores between preparing/cooking Sunday lunch and a visit from my bro. Sunday is usually my "take it easy" day, but apart from eating lunch, this is my first sit-down of the day.
I'm doing nothing else today, and I haven't dusted yet. heck, the dust can't get much thicker, can it?
I hate it when that happens Mothhawk, a few weeks back we did our Grory hop on Wednesday instead of the usual Thursday. That was enough to throw me until after the weekend.
Good evening all,not been on for a bit,i could not get into the place,it wanted my pass word, how the heck can i remember that from years ago,any how i eventually found out how to get another, only to find i still got something wrong,i have just tonight got into something on the lappy, cannot remember what, and clicked on a setting,to remember such things and, bingo, here i am,life just gets better these days,we are so happy with what we have found together, choir in the morning, then back to his later for a few days, that snow was not welcome,am pleased it went fairly quickly,it is nice to see some seeds popping up,pepper, chilli, lettuce, and lobilia,

Nice to see you, LD. Glad you're having a happy time.
All good on the southern front. Although Bramble is further south than me, so maybe she's holding the real southern front at the moment.
Bet it's warm where you are, Bramble. We had a high here of 29 ºC yesterday. It'll probably be the same again today. Haven't spotted any evidence of wolves, so maybe they've moved on, but the ticks are out... The joys of living in the countryside.
Had a really nice day yesterday and a lovely lunch down the valley. I reckon I've got Mary Berry's chocolate fudge cake cracked! Hope you all enjoyed the slices yesterday. Anyone wants the recipe, it's here: https://thehappyfoodie.co.uk/recipes...te-fudge-cake/
Need to have a busy working day today, but will be getting some gardening in this evening, when it's a bit cooler.
Good morning all. We keep having drizzly showers here this morning and inbetween them the sun keeps trying to break through.....not with much success however. It is also very windy. Sleet and snow showers are forecast for tonight. Mr GF has another podiatry appointment this afternoon, as his corn seems to gave reappeared. I couldn't get him an appointment at his usual place, they're booked up until the end of the month, but I've got him one somewhere else......which is very close to a garden centre that I like in a village on the edge of the moors.
Morning all.
Extremely windy and wet here, and unfortunately it is recycling bin day, so there is lots of paper and plastic blowing about from bins that have blown over during the night. Not their fault, but I doubt their owners will clear it up. So when the wind and rain stops I may be litter picking around the street, if it hasn't all blown off to distant parts.
Glad to hear you're still enjoying your new life Lottie
