  • Good morning.

Bright out there, but nowhere near as warm as recently, thank goodness. Still no sign of rain on the horizon. Next to nothing since the flood in the middle of November. The long-term forecast said storms this spring. Fingers crossed we get some good long gentle rain too.

Work is never ending. I'm supposed to be on holiday as well to get the garden a bit more in order. I'm so far behind I can't ever see myself catching up. Not sure I've ever used that emoji before, so that just goes to show how fed up I am! Still, no point moaning, soonest started, soonest finished.

    Have a great day, everyone.

    • Morning

Another day of rain here with thunder later, no gardening again apart some seed sowing later in the GH.

GF during lockdown MrPots cut my hair it was a bit scary at first and it didn't help with he said 'you do have a hat don't you' but it worked out fine trimming it every 3 to 4 weeks.

      Safe journey Bramble xx

      enjoy your day.

      • Good morning dry but cloudy just now, just getting ready to go to the docs, as 8 keep getting pins and needles in my hands, I usually get wakened at sometime through the night with it, it was six this morning so finished up getting out of bed which for me is far too early, its depriving me of my beauty sleep, so if I want so keep my good looks I will need to get this sorted, OH recons it also affecting my eyesight🤔
And thanks Flo for the info, it explains why I don't know about podcasts as I haven't grown peas for 5he past two or three years, enjoy your day and remember keep smiling

          • Good evening all.
Home safely but, it's back to grey skies and rain.
Everything in the garden is growing...especially the weeds.

Talking about haircuts...my hair has been bleached to blonde by the sun.
I have an appointment to have it put back to normal next week
During the covid, my son, who is a barber cut and coloured my hair.
I wouldnt want to go back to that time though as we were all so scared.
Having said all that, have a good evening all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

            • Good morning.

It's only 6am and I've been wide awake for a while. No idea why. It's still dark and raining too and 6°C.

I think I might try and snuggle down again for an hour.

              • Welcome home bramble, lucky you that has hair that can get bleached by the sun some of us would be grateful for that hope you had a great holiday, just a quick call this morning as I am heading up to watch the boys while son and DiL go to a funeral, and there is no Internet in his home at present, it's dry but cloudy just now, hopefully it will be another dry day, if so I will give the grass it's first cut later, enjoy your day and pass on the smiles

Of to a spring fair this morning and with the weather being fine it should be a good turn out.
Welcome back Bramble hopefully you've not got to many weeds to deal with.

                  • Morning all.

Welcome home, Bramble. Hope you knock your garden into shape without too much trouble. Are you not tempted to stick with the blonde for a bit? I bet it looks lovely.

Bright here at the moment, but due to get cloudy and extremely windy. Shame, as we have friends coming for lunch and sitting outdoors will be unpleasant in a gale!

Better get a move on, otherwise there will be nothing to eat. Our Italian friend is coming round, so it's pizza. Not difficult but just takes its time. He doesn't have an oven and if I serve him anything but pizza, I can see he's a bit disappointed. Makes life easy for me, only having to think about pudding really.

Enjoy the smiles, everyone, and have a great day.

                    • Mornin n’alln’all

Drizzle, but no wind thank goodness. Sorry Snoop - looks like you’ll be getting it today

There’s actually a break in the clouds so I’m dropping the paperwork and going to chop up some brash to get it to the right size for the shredder. What is it about shredding that’s so satisfying?

First of April eh? “Rabbits rabbits rabbits” …..
The French have an unusual way of ‘celebrating’ it. They tape a paper fish onto someone’s back without them noticing then smirk as they wander about with it unknowingly. Then burst out laughing saying ‘poisson d’avril’ ( April fish) Utterly hilarious eh?
The best bit is that you can buy chocolate fish- bit like Easter eggs. Yum.

Enjoy your pizza Snoop. Not had one for ages - I think that’s something we need to rectify as soon as the nicer weather comes back ( we cook ours outside)

The first cut is always satisfying isn’t it Rary?…ours all had theirs last week. And again, the subject of a sit on mower has come up…

Right…best nip on out and get that bit of chopping up done between showers….
                      Kettle’s boiled - help yourselves …

Rary, I suppose we should be thankful for small mercies. At least you dont have to pay for a haircut.
Yes, we had a very enjoyable holiday thank you.-

It's been raining all night and still raining g now.
I may sow some seeds in the greenhouse today but the weeding may wait for a drier day.
                          Have a good day all.

                              • All these naughty people talking about pizza have got me fancying making one this week. I have never, ever made one so any tips would be greatly appreciated. I must put pepperoni on this weeks shopping list, Mr GF's favourite topping. I would imagine I'd have most everything else in the cupboard or fridge. No pizza oven or special tray or stone of course.
