Morning all.
It rained last night! Not much, but anything is better than nothing. Maybe 8 litres/mm per square metre. It's quite chilly out and we'll back into frosts for the next week or so at least.
Got a million things to do over the next few days. There's a a medieval fair on in one of the local villages, always a nice do, but I'm passing this year, which is a shame, but needs must. First off, make a coffee. Anyone fancy joining me?
Have a great day, everyone.

Mornin n’alln’all
Just having a cuppa thanks Snoop.
I woke up to rain too, although it’s set to be dry now for a couple of days …and frosty!
I had considered nipping out to a vide grenier nearby but it’s in a field and I wouldn’t expect a good turn out of stalls given all the rain and mud. Another good day in reality to finish off the paperwork. I’ve already done 2 hrs this morning Determined to get it out of the way asap!
It’s a pity to miss that Fair Snoop - I love that sort of thing.
At nearby Falaise castle - where William the Conqueror was born- they hold them every year and there’s a stall there selling cakes etc following original recipes. Fortunately they’re very expensive otherwise I’d be in my element tucking in
I think it’s a porridge sort of day…jam, honey, sugar, or defrosted black cherries- help yourselves.
Enjoy your day…see ya later peeps."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

I didn't sleep very well. I was wide awake in the early hours but eventually awoke just before 8 am, hopped out of bed to turn up the thermostat, got back in for "10 minutes" while things warmed up.......and suddenly it was 9 am. 😴😴😴
We're forecast a max of 9°C here today and 0°C tonight.
I like the idea of trying old fashioned cakes, Nicos. I suppose it was only rich people who could afford them. Poor people probably had a diet of gruel, pottage and oysters. I can't imagine a world totally without sugar and chocolate.

Good morning all.
7 degs and dull here but its finally stopped raining.
Off to mass shortly and then family visiting so nothing garden related on the cards today.
Thanks for the offer of breakfast Nicos but we usually have bacon and egg at the weekend.
Snoop, , that sounds a interesting fair, shame you have to miss it,
Have a good day whatever you're up to today.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Good afternoon ,sunny anddry at present, that's the first night in months I have been sleeping and not getting wakened with pins and needs in my hands, as I was at the doctors on Friday and he recons I have carpel tunnel and recommended wrist splints, I had them on overnight and not once did I get pins and needles, though I was wakened several times by OH who is not feeling very well, I had to collect our youngest grandson from school the other day as he wasn't feeling very well, and I now think he has passed on whatever he had to OH, she is now sleeping and won't at church today, now that I am back home she has decided to get up, though doesn't want anything to eat, hopefully she will improve as the day goes on.
I actually got my grass cut yesterday, then potted on some flowers and veg, I now need to sow some seeds for a plant and seedling exchange with the garden club, so will attend to that this afternoon, need to go, enjoy your day and I hope you find something to smile aboutit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

A good nights sleep is worth its weight in gold
Hope Mrs Rary recovers soon.

Morning all.
Good news about your hands, Rary. Glad you're managing to sleep better. And yes, I second bramble: hope Mrs Rary gets better soon.
Bright and sunny here again, but a very cold start to the day. Not quite as windy, so seed sowing here I come.
Yesterday was a reasonable day. Didn't get much of my own stuff done, so it's all piling up. But the JCB man came round and will start work late April, early May. So not too late for me to make use of some of the ground even this year. Certainly for winter veg, storms permitting...
Have a great day, everyone.

Mornin n’alln’all
Good news about your hands Rary. How is Mrs R today?
Have fun sowing seeds Snoop - it’s like sowing little promises to yourself isn’t it if you know what I mean?
I’ve still got some paperwork left but the pressure is slightly off for now - but here’s a heads up for anyone interested…. There is a time limit for topping up your state pension ….which has been slightly extended.
Don’t miss out if this applies to you.
I hadn’t seen this advertised anywhere!
Off to see the GP later this week for him to sign documents to say I am who I say I am, witness my signature and then renew prescriptions. Oh the joys of getting older eh?
I’m off for a grory hop later - I’m selling 6 hanging baskets I’ll never use so we’re meeting up near the hyper store to pass them over. They’ve sat in the barn for years, so it’s about time someone should enjoy them .
Enjoy your day peeps. We didn’t have the forecast frost last night, but it looks like tonight’s is still on the books. Typical now that the many fruit trees are all breaking out into blossom.
Best get a wiggle on and get some domestics sorted….
