    • Morning all.

Really hard frost down in the fields last night. So cold I even had a hot water bottle and both the cats wanted to be on the bed. Should have lit a fire... they'd have basked in front of that instead.

Done one good job so far: booked my car in for its MOT tomorrow afternoon. Just as well I remembered, as it expires on Thursday.

Off now to go and sow some seeds. The compost and water will be a bit cold, but it's bright so with any luck I can get the modules ready and leave them to warm up a bit before I put the seeds in.

Then off out for lunch and back home for a bit more sowing.

Hope all the poorly folk are feeling better. I'm doing shallow breathing in a bid to ignore the fact that I keep wanting to cough...

      Have a great day, everyone.

      • Good morning all.
No frost here, a bit on the dull side but its 9 degs.

Must go and buy some birthday cards, we have so many in April.
Some Easter eggs to get as well,
Hopefully some time in the garden later.
        Have a good day all,

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

        • Hi All,
I felt the air last night and I thought it would freeze and by 2a.m. it had, just as the garden was coming to life an all now looks like it'll be put back for a week unless we get some decent Sun.

Now 10:40a.m. Sunny but a chill in the air, ah well that's life!

          Geoff.

            • Afternoon!
Washing is on the line here too. Tis a beautiful sunny day now.
Pity though that all the magnolia petals have turned brown already after last nights frost. Clearly quite a heavy one. That poor blossom hasn’t half taken a beating this week….first those super strong winds, and now the frost.

oh no Snoop- don’t be getting a cold just as you are going away…….fingers crossed a decent cup or two of tea will sort out that tickle….
Speaking of which…..it really must be time for a brew!

                • On its way Bren!…..There’s a small piece of mango, coconut and ginger slab cake left too if you fancy that? It’d save me eating it!

                            • Good morning. A rather grey and wet morning here. Yesterday was a proper Spring day. My sandals even came out of hibernation, I think they can go back again today however.

The workmen finished the trench down our road by lunchtime yesterday and cleaned up after themselves. I wish the workmen on the M1 were as efficient and neat.

I did the grory hop yesterday and, yet again, got everything except Mr GF's favourite yoghurts. I also made more blackberry buns while the oven was on.

A dull grey morning but very mild.
A trip to the hairdressers this morning.
Doing an Easter egg hunt for my grandson this afternoon.
I cant see myself getting any time for gardening today,
                                Have a good day all.
