        • Good morning.

The sun is shining temporarily here but it's a windy chilly 7°C.

Unicorns and dragons! Dare I ask what some of you are growing at the bottom of your gardens.

          • Good morning all.
We have rain on the and it looks to be heavy.
Out for lunch with my friend today,
            Catch you all later.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Nice one Rary! That made me chuckle!

Another grey day here but it’s not raining so far so I’ll go and potter outside…that usually ends up talking up the whole day
Funny how one bit of pottering ends up with the tackling of one much larger job.

Enjoy the day peeps - whatever mischief you get up to

                • One hour on , and I’ve been cleaning up in the kitchen, and there’s still seedlings, compost, plastic trays, packets of seeds etc cluttering up the peninsula and window sill.
I can understand why Mrs Rary bans gardening things from the kitchen, but we’ve nowhere else to put them
( The peninsula is 2m x 2.5 m so clearly makes for an ideal working surface) there are even trays balanced on the tops of a couple of tall bar stools…and bags of compost on the floor *sigh
Cant complain , cos we both have created that ‘mess’
At least we have a very clean, compost/plant free work area for cooking etc!

Time for some fresh air….see ya later!

                  • Good afternoon, a bit of broken cloud to start with today, so put a washing on then went over to collect some seaweed, was back just as the washing was finishing, so hung it out before spreading the seaweed over the garden, I also covered the soil in the greenhouse with it and as I have some left, I am thinking of trying to grow courgettes in it, I usually try to get some old manure for growing them in but I have the seaweed and if I chop it up, mix it with some old compost it might well be good enough to provide plenty of moisture, I don't think there is any danger of burning the roots, even if its fresh, ah well, I will never know till I try, I will let you know how it goes, getting a lot duller now so off to bring the washing in, and I will take care not to step on any toadstools, as the fairies will no doubt, need to use them, to shelter under if the rain starts

                    • We've just had a scare. Chester had some kind of fit, rolling around on the floor and then couldn't stand up. We rang middle GG who came while we were looking for an emergency vet and lo and behold Chester wagged his tail and managed to get to his feet. He's a bit wobbly but seems to have recovered. Our son in law is due back from London with the other two girls at half five so we will see how he is then. He's 14. I do wonder if it was a stroke. He's a game little chap and has just had his food so I'm hoping he'll be ok.

I'm with mothhawk on this. Sounds to me like you might mean the Minotaur, Nicos..

Very wet and windy here. Guessing that's true of much of the UK.

                                Hope you're all doing well.

Edited to correct the spelling of your name, Nicos. Sorry about that. I'm learning the joys of using a smartphone...
