Sounds about right Snoop - wait until the hottest day of the year before playing with drills!

I got bitten by a deer tick a couple of days ago. It was still very tiny when I pulled it off but it’s gone a bit red so I’m keeping my eye on it. Only a matter of 20 mins as it certainly wasn’t there when I put my shoes on.

Enjoy your day peeps….looks like it’s going to be a hot one here too so I need to get a wiggle on and get some ironing done before it gets too hot.
Just need to wait for my dribbly hay fever nose to stop running first though
    Time for another cuppa then!

          • Good morning, dull but warm 20c outside 22c inside, need to go and water the greenhouse than down to a neighbours and water his flower pots before getting ready for church, have a good day and don't be overdoing things, some should remember that they are of an age where they should be taking it easy
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

              • I think Scotland might have the same time, just a century behind the rest of the UK lol.
A very long saga, but I will try and condense it..................
The village had a water supply problem, the mains pressure went up to 10 bar when it should have been a max of 2 bar, so burst water pipes, bust toilet cisterns all manner of problems, luckily all we had was a noise of running water. So they came out dug a hole in the garden under the kitchen window and decided the leak was under the house! A plumber arrived who cut a hole in the kitchen floor boards and discovered the leak was between the bricks in the cavity, so a new piece of pipe was fitted, all for free which was nice.
Now me being me I went for a crawl around under the house to have a shuffty, quite a bit of mud washed in by the pipe burst, but it's only an inch and it's drying out nicely. What wasn't so nice was I spotted active woodworm under the kitchen floorboards, so I've been under and lathered it in woodworm killer, checked the whole house(it's a bungalow) and the rest is clear, caught it early luckily. A bigger downside is I've taken up the flooring, someone has decided I might as well re decorate the kitchen whilst I'm at it, so paint has been bought and new brushes, happy days decorating in this heat lol.

Thanks yes, everyone else’s seem to tally. I wonder if it was one of the Vine’s ‘blips’ for a few minutes which has sorted itself out?…Geoff - is it all ok again? If not, please could you do a screenshot for us please ?

Actually, thank goodness the leak happened otherwise it would have been disaster out in years to come.

                        • Good evening all.
Home safely and arrived to sunshine but we are now having thunder and lightening.
It was 33degs yesterday when we were travelling to Cherborg, seriously hot for travelling.
Its low 20' now although very humid.

Snoop, I am so sorry to heat about the demise of your cat,
I can only imagine how much you are feeling the loss
Our pets are an important part of our family.

My grandson looked after all my tomatoes and peppers while I was away and they are looking good.
The garden is full of weeds again though, so a job for tomorrow.
                          Have a good evening all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                          • Under our house is a sort of half height basement, about three feet deep so I could sit and do the painting(well it's Cuprinol wood treatment), only thing was getting out of quite a snug hole in the kitchen floor, my arms were barely strong enough to lift my body weight, SWMBO laughing her head off whilst I'm puffing. A bit long in the tooth to go to the gym lol, so maybe lose a bit of weight, still not bad for a Septuagenarian lol.

well done Burnie - all Himself's done today is watch cricket

burnie, if you have just become a septuagenarian, don't try going up a ladder, OH heard someone on TV saying anyone who has just become a septuagenarian should not go up ladders, but as I keep telling her, it doesn't apply to me as I haven't just becomeone
