fingers crossed the delivery works out well.
I too had a favourite duvet cover. I found it in the bin end at Dunelm about 15 years ago. There were two so I bought both of them for here. They were about £6 each for a king size cotton cover They finally got too threadbare to use last year. Not bad eh?….I also bought a different coloured one for my daughter and it was her favourite too. Sadly only lasting 6 years of constant use. Can’t complain at that eh?
I love my winter duvet cover now but am still pining for a summer linen one…but the cost is bonkers
Its just a matter of time when the impulse grabs me and I’ll treat us…why not eh?
Not sure what happened there?Last edited by greenishfing; 14-08-2023, 02:28 PM.

Wow, the first part of my Dunelm order, the quilt cover and pillowcases have now arrived. Did I really only order them yesterday? They were supposed to arrive by Wednesday at the latest.
The other part of the delivery is the sheet which is supposed to arrive by Thursday. I'm hoping it's as good as it looks and the colour is accurate. If it is I'll be ordering another one...or two.

Mornin n’alln’all
Cloudy start and not seen the smiles flying over yet. Having a bit of a lie in with you Snoop?
Mrs Mop today then escaping for a few hours in the camper. We think we may have found a quiet spot away from tourists so we’ll give it a try. Looks like it’s next to the river so that’ll be lovely.
I imagine with that footpath having been closed for a while MH that there might well be a small change in plants and wildlife too?
Toast and honey anyone?….."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Morning all.
I never say no to toast and honey, Nicos, delicious, thanks.
Nice to see the sun again.
I'm hoping the footpath won't be too overgrown. It will be OK on the playing field itself, as the grass was just left to grow, then it was cut for hay. Some lucky farmer got a huge load of organic hay, probably for nothing, or maybe even paid to take it.
The next part of the footpath, though, where it continues on around the old sand quarry, may be covered in overgrown shrubs, nettles and brambles, as nobody will have been walking down it for nearly 2 years. It could have been walked from the other end, but not much point walking to a dead end. I certainly didn't go down it more than a couple of times. Must remember to put my secateurs in my pocket for my first walk!
It will be lovely to be able to do a circular walk again without half of it being along a road.Last edited by mothhawk; 15-08-2023, 09:45 AM.Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land

Afternoon all.
No idea what happened to the smiles, Nicos, as I had a very late start to the day, but I had a good time at the fiestas. Lost my voice trying to shout to people above the band. But all good. Didn't see any boar or ibex on the drive home, but did see an amazing shooting start. So, all in all, a good night. Another one tonight...
Not much on the cards for today. A bit of paid work and then a bit of cooking for supper. And then an evening nap.
Have a great rest of the day, everyone.

Good afternoon all.lBeen line dancing this morning,
Picked a good handful of tomatoes for lunch.
Sheets and bedding drying in the breeze.
Another bit of weeding and deadheading this afternoon.
Enjoy the rest of the day,
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Afternoon all.
I did a grory hop this morning and took my brother-in-law too. I'd called in to see him yesterday and taken him a present of a box of Mr GF's favourite ice cream lollies. He was raving about them today. As the farmfoods shop is halfway between where we live and where he lives I told him just to shout out if/when he wants more. What made me laugh was his definition of a "full" freezer and mine. I could have probably fitted half a sheep, cut up, in his with a bit of reorganisation.
Full 'fridge here again after the shop.
I've nearly got my second load of washing dry already......some of it is even ironed😇.
The second half of my Dunelm order has also arrived this afternoon....same delivery driver as yesterday. Wow, I think they've made up for the fiasco with my curtains 18 months ago. The new sheet looks good. I've put it in the wash basket to wash before I use it on the bed. The colour looks good. I'm sure it will match the quilt covers. Once I have slept on it I'll decide if I want another one.Last edited by greenishfing; 15-08-2023, 03:51 PM.
