Looks like a lovely place!
Did he have a bit of a paddle?
That reminds me of when we took my OH parent’s dog to the beach for the first time.
He was a Dulux/ wolfhound cross…enormous dog with a very long coat. Took him to a massive sandy beach with dunes and he went bonkers …non stop running around for almost an hour…rolling, jumping off the dunes…running in the sea with his nose in the water biting at it…. He had an absolutely fabulous time
Then he utterly crashed out on the journey home. Jumped out of the boot and left a sand dune in the road…rushed into their house and before we could stop him , shook himself
I got the feeling my in-laws weren’t too happy
Wonder why?
Thought that might amuse you

Mornin n’alln’all
Got woken by Hibou demanding to go out…once she saw the rain bouncing off the ground she quickly had a change of heart
So- guess who couldn’t get back to sleep and is on their second mug of tea
Looks like the rain is set in for the week followed by a cold snap. Maybe even snow. At least that gives me a chance to Spring clean once the decorations are down.
Did anyone make any resolutions/ intentions yesterday?
My promise to myself is to concentrate on eating up what’s in the freezers over the next few weeks/ months.
They are packed full and need de-icing.
I’m finding nice things hidden near the bottom - including a sticky toffee pudding I’d forgotten about!
I struggled to find space with fitting in our garden produce last year, so this year I’ll try and concentrate on a freezer diving version of Ready Steady Cook.
Hopefully I’ve not disturbed anyone’s slumber? The kettle is still hot if anyone fancies a brew…..
Good morning, thanks Nico s I had just made myself a cuppa before coming in, don't know if it relevant but the thread is not marked as a sticky today
it's 3c and raining her just now so if gardening later it will be in the greenhouse, where I need to set some mouse traps, I am losing every thing that's coming up and it's not slugs that's causing the bother, as for New Year resolutions the only two I make now is to, breath in, breath out, and I intend to keep this one for several years
Have a good day and keep smiling

Great new year's resolutions, rary. Oh, I've commented to Nicos about this thread not being a sticky, just in case. Thanks for mentioning it.
As for my resolutions for this year, I'm afraid I've got lots. But that means that at least some will be kept. The top two are go and find out about when I can retire (neighbour down the valley who has been looking into this for herself suggested this year might be possible for me so long as I'm prepared to forego a fair amount of my pension, but worth finding out at the very least), and get my veg patch back in order. Which will itself help resolution number three, which is get a bit fitter. And well, if I retired, resolutions two and three would be easier to fulfil... All the others are minor by comparison. Anyone noticed how keen I am to give up work?
Till then, it's nose to the grindstone, including today.
No resolutions/ intentions here Nicos mostly because I know I won't stick to them
Good luck with catching those mice Rary I finally caught the slug thats been roaming around the kitchen leaving trails these past few nights I was expecting one as long as my finger instead it was a half inch long tiny thing. Hopefully it didn't leave any babies.
Heavy rain here all day.
Edited to say i like your idea of having lots of resolutions Snoop and the reason behind it

I thought that the retirement age for women in Spain was similar to the age for men here, must be wrong🙄😁
On a more serious note, something you should always remember Snoop, You work to live, not live to work, I retired early, there were several people telling me that I was going far to early, but it's one of the best things that I have done, with no regrets, I do wish you well and hope you are successful, and if you are you will wonder where you found time to work

Good morning all.
Dull, grey and rainy here, never saw such a wet season.
New years resolutions, just to keep my body and mind active.
My husband was eligible for retirement at a young age and he took it.
Like Rary, he said it was the best decision he ever made.
Snoop, if you're eligible and afford it then go for it.
Have a good day all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
