  • Thanks girls I finally managed to log on and have managed to put this down without weird words coming into this paragraph , I think I know what the problem was and it had nothing to do with admin, in othe words the problem was me so sorry for creating any problems for the Mods. One thing it has highlighted for me is the way banks and other services are going , if I have a problem with computers, just think of the problems some old folk could have with them, right going for a hair cut, then OH wants to go shopping, so hope you all have a good day and if passing anyone that looks rather bored and unhappy in a shop give them a smile, it could be me

          • Good morning all.
It was winter wonderland when I opened the curtains this morning.
It's still minus one but the sun is up and the sky is blue.
Off to my line dancing and hope the roads are not slippy as it's my turn to drive this morning.
Catch you all later, have a good day.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

            • Good news, Rary. Maybe a detour to a garden centre to celebrate while you're out today?

              • Good morning.

I'm glad you're sorted out Rary. Just be grateful that hairdresser's haven't gone super tech with robots cutting your hair. The mind boggles...well mine does anyway.🤯

I'm taking Mr GF for his ears syringing this afternoon as he seems to be ignoring me more than usual. Fish, chips and mushy peas on the way home sounds good to me. 😋

I must call at the garden centre this week as the birds need more food. Mr GF says they get spoilt more than he does! A week of fat balls, suet sticks, mealworms etc might change his mind.😂😂

Oh, the sun has just put in a very fleeting appearance.😊

                • The sun's out here and so is my washing. Not sure if it will dry, but it will freshen it up. We haven't had fish and chips from a proper fish and chip shop for ages GF - would we need a mortgage I wonder?

                  • The solar fountain in the bird bath is bubbling away today so there must be a bit of power in this sunshine!

It usually takes several tries and long waits on the phone to order repeat scripts from the doctor, but this morning it was easy as they've installed a call-back system. Progress!

I'll call at the local Wetherby Whaler. Their portions of chips could feed an army so I'll probably get us a fish each and chips and peas to share.

                      • Last time (must be about a year ago), mini cod, chips and peas twice was £8.00 and the portions were adequate. So much easier than DIY!

                        • Good afternoon, nice and sunny here though very cold, hair cut shopping done, and sadly Soop nowhere near a garden center or nursery, however we were near the shore and even though I didn't get any seaweed I noted the tide was out so that gives me a guide to the time I can go over at tomorrow, if it's dry just getting a bite to eat then out the back for a time I will try and post some photos off my new project, though this new tablet was definitely a big mistake as all the usand ual controls (for me) are missing, no arrows to go back nor X to shut a page down it's all swiping up, down or left to right or vice versa, i gave my old tablet to my son as e was needing one i would have been better giving him this new one and keeping the other one, ah life, i suppose it would be boring if there were no problems, at least unimportant ones like this, I an at least throw this on the ground and stamp on it right now going out the back enjoy the rest of the day

                            • Afternoon all.

The sun has come out at last, though there are still a lot of fluffly white clouds for it to duck behind.

Lovely to see you with us again, Rary. Keep persevering with the tablet, you'll eventually learn where everything is. That's the reason I hang on to old tech and renew only reluctantly. Nothing is ever where it was on the old tech and I always hate it at first, but it's surprising how quickly you get used to the changes. Right now I'm hating the new look BT email

Flo, can't you re-order scripts online through the surgery website? I've recently discovered I can do this with my surgery.

I could MH, but I have held off doing it because it's one of the few things Himself can be responsible for. That might sound crazy, but I do practically everything else on line. He refuses to learn. I've recently taught him how to use a tablet, but his talent is limited to looking at what appears before him rather than searching. My grandchildren find it hilarious, but I must say it worries me that he's not moving with the times and how he would manage if I wasn't here

Wow! That was a weight I didn't expect to confess - sorry!
