Oi you lot!…stop talking about rain
Its just started drizzling here and I need to sort out a couple of flowerbeds by the end of this afternoon!
They’ll get done whatever the weather - but I really think/ know that I’m turning more and more into a fair weather gardener.
It never used to bother me- I must be getting nesh

Good morning all.
Bright and breezy here but there is a nip in that northerly breeze and it's just 11 degs.
Grory hope this morning.
Visit to the hairdressers.
A trip to the library and then collecting my grandson from school.
I think that's most of my day spoken for.

Good morning.

It is grey and windy here. It feels cold and I have just turned the thermostat up. What happened to that promise of Summer we had a few weeks ago? I had a long chat with my sister at the weekend and I mentioned that I'd bought a couple of Summer dresses online, (although one did get sent straight back). She was rather surprised as I only tend to wear "nice" clothes under sufference. (Childhood rebellion taken to the extreme, I think). I had to admit that it was those few warm days that inspired me. Thinking about it, it was probably just as well that "normal" weather resumed.

I plan on doing the grory hop today. The fridge is looking decidedly depleted....apart from strawberries.

Morning, really heavy showers during the night but the sun is out for the moment. Chilly though!
Laundry done and I think that’s it for the day. OH has gone for the groceries, I’m avoiding busy places at the moment.

Been to an M&S outlet for casual wear and found nothing! I really want some "normal" t-shirts, but they all seen to be in floppy stuff!

There I was saying how nesh I’m becoming …and then the sun came out and I’ve been in full sun weeding.
Got a bit hot tbh so I’ve stopped for the day.
All jobs I had earmarked have been completed as OH got stuck in helping me. Good man

Agree with Next for T-shirts. Got a few recently £6 each but if you buy 2 they are £5.50 each. Just watch though as some have cap sleeves which I don’t like.

Bright sunshine now, glad we hung on to do the Grory hop if we’d gone earlier in the car because of the rain I’m sure we’d still be stuck in traffic.

A busy day but not a lot of time spent in the garden
Lots of errands and then spent a fun evening with my grandson.

Can I also suggest Next.
My grandaughter works there on the weekends, pin money for while she is going to college.
They have a good selection of women's wear.

We have some sunshine but there is a coolness. Have just checked gh and beds, all OK. Greenhouse got down to 4 degrees last night and I noticed 2 tomatoes forming. Not even got them in their final pots yet. More rain in the forecast too

Our outdoor temperature dropped to 4.5C last night. We’ve had frost damage a few times in early June so it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s hit any of the veggies as the field is more exposed than our patio where the min/ max thermometer is.
Fortunately the spuds had an extra layer of straw on them just a couple of days ago.

No rain forecast here today so hopefully more gardening, but I do want to go to a different diy store to get some grill to put over our drainage channels, so it might involve a very quick grory hop whilst we pass by the supermarket.

We had a warmer night than forecasted so that was good, no rain today but its going to be cool enough to need a jumper.
