Good afternoon all.
The rain has stopped and the sun is trying it's best.
Went line dancing this morning and visiting my sister this afternoon, so that's the day spoken for, more or less.

Nicos, great you got your sink...another project. 😏

I always freeze my blackberries, and other fruit until the end of the growing season, then I have a jam making dsy.
I cook up the blackberries and leave them to strain overnight.
I have two large, very fine sieves that do the job well.

GF, hope you're not let down again by your hairdresser.

Afternoon all.

The hairdresser did turn up and did a good job. She got a jar of strawberry jam and a jar of bread and butter pickle as her tip. She hasn't increased her price in about 15 years so I presume she appreciates her various edible tips.

It's windy and feels chilly again. Rain is imminent (93% chance).

I'm off to make some tartare sauce now. I hate the stuff you buy in jars, it is always too vinegary for me. I tend to use lemon juice in mine rather than vinegar, and a spoonful of my bread and butter pickle (main ingredients cucumber) instead of gherkin.

Good afternoon and quite a wind blowing at this end of Ayrshire as well Jay, sadly was at a friends funeral this morning, though no rain with the wind blowing I couldnt hear much of the burial service, however I was there to pay my respects so wasn't that important. After that once home OH wanted to go for some shopping, so headed over to the shop which is on the coast , when I saw the waves I said it would be ideal for collecting some seaweed, I am sitting here feart to say anything now😥 The sun has actually started shining now so I will get out to the garden for a wee while, enjoy your day and keep smiling 🙂🙂🙂

The weathers been all over the place today sunshine, dull, windy with on and of rain showers. Its like it can't decide what to do next

We have decided to have a wee holiday mid September, was thinking of heading north but with the weather the way it has been, we🙄 decided to head for the lake district again, hopefully we will get over the Hardknott Pass though I would come from Ravenglass side that way someone wouldn't realise where we are going😁 now the wind has died down and the sun is out I will head out to the garden have a good evening🙂🙂🙂

I love Hardknott Pass, Rary. And Wrynose Pass. They were a regular feature of our holidays every year in the Langdales. Lovely part of the country. Not something we did often, but I have fond memories of the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway too. Haven't thought about the railway in a while.

Hardknot Pass?…ha…happy memories of a road trip with my future OH many years ago. He had a very old Ford Pop and it struggled getting to the top - so much so I had to get out and walk so it could make it
And nope….I was a slip of a thing back then!
Even so, she struggled enough without me that OH contemplated reversing her up

How was the pasta making gf? Must admit I'm not sure I've ever made it either.
Sunny at the moment, yesterday we had non stop rain and on my wander to the gh this morning I found 2 huge slugs hiding, then more around the garden.
Today's forecast had been for Sun and I was so excited to have some outside time , however the forecast is now showing rain. Its already clouding in
Will see what happens. If you've any spare sun please send it my way.

Lovely sunny start to the day - Hibou clearly thought so too as she was desperate to go out first thing….First thought was she was desperate for a wee….but nope- rushed outside and then just sat on the patio
I bought a cat hairbrush last week for her and she absolutely loves it- so I’ve decided to keep the hairs and eventually make something with it. Pity I didn’t start earlier when I think about it.

Anyone fancy a brew?

A visit to the eye specialist for a review of my eyesight and eye pressure.
also my visual sight, so fingers crossed.
Looking after my grandson this afternoon so that's most of the day spoken for.

Morning all.

Mr Snoop is fitting windows this morning and hammering away to the sound of Katrina and the Waves. An ancient album now but it's one of the jolliest I know. The smiles might be doing their rounds, but I've got a few of my own!

Got a busy day ahead but might be time now to make another cup of tea as I've just sent a job in. Anyone fancy a brew with me?
