Good day all,had a good natural sleep, and feel chilled out for a change, good luck with your oven shelves girls,as for tiramisu ,i also saw that program,i was very supprized at how they made them,my understanding was simples, not 4 hours work, all i do is,make a stronger coffee with icing sugar to sweeten and a good dolop of masala wine, whilst cooling, whipup a large tub of double cream 2 tubs of mascapone, a glug uf masala and some icing sugar to sweeten,,then assemble, put lady fingers into the bottom of a trile dish a good layer, followed by a layer of the cream, untill the top of dish finish with the cream and a dusting of cocoa, but remember not to drive afterwards hehehehe, can be done the day before keep in the fridge, have a good day all

GF….your OH sounds fun to be around!
Hydrochloric acid? Yikes…and I was worried when my OH disappeared up our lounge chimney scrubbing the soot/ tar off the granite stones before our woodstove was fitted….

I’ll take photos in December if anyone is interested?
We have two others the same size which we use , and the oldest one in the barn( 1630s) can’t be used as the top chimney was removed.

My eldest GG has just called for a cake I hastily made for her. She's hosting a little birthday party for one of her best friends this evening. It made me smile when she said "I like to go the extra mile with home made cake"
Evening all,i do not like these dark nights,it makes for to long an evening,so roll on the next few months, there i said it,i will have to look up this Nancy Birtwhistle, never heard the name before,i will do another one,and go by my instincts as usual with a little help from a recipe,i have in the past done lots of very rich fruit cake, and never had any bother,i am thinking i made the mistake of adding a tin of black cherries, and made the mixture to wet, never again, live and learn, however i just cannot for the life of me do an ordinary common fruit cake,it goes to the bottom,so i will have to prepare a shopping list for tom morning and go gather what i need,i do not like it when i fail, goes against the grain after all my years of no bother, that chimney sounds huge Nicos, have a good evening evey one
