      • Good morning all, it's raining here and the forecast isn't good.
Not sure just yet what I will do with the dsy.
Some family members said they "might" call in today and I haven't heard back from them.
So I will wait and see .

people seem to lose all common sense at these times, darting in and out of the traffic.
As for the loaded trollies, shops are open and there is plenty to go around.

        Anyway...have a good dsy all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

        • We're back from the doctor's appointment. A new doctor, but very nice. I'll call at the chemist's this afternoon and pick up Mr GF's prescription for antibiotics, lotions snd potions. He doesn't often think about multi-tasking, but ...... he has now mentioned that if we go around 5pm it's only about 100 yards to the fish and chip shop. I can't fault his logic.

It makes me wonder as well GF, I think our only extras are mince pies from the local bakery then a couple of extra pints of milk. There’s enough food in the freezer if anyone calls round who we didn’t expect.

            enjoy your afternoon.

            • Good afternoon, cold and wet today we went out for a coffee earlier then a bit of shopping looking for a birthday present for one of the boys, his birthday is 2 days before Christmas, so always look for something a bit special though it will be mostly money this year as he wants to raise the funds go to Malaysia in a couple of years time.
LD glad to see your coat proved good enough for weather conditions, so many people nowadays wear the same clothes all year round, and dont really dress for the weather, I just dont understand those people who wear shorts and sandals all year round, but I suppose each to their own, anyway wish you all a good evening and lots of smiles🙂🙂🙂
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

              • LD, the tiramisu was a winner. Our Italian friend was astonished when I apologised for saying it wasn't traditional as I'd made a zabaglione to mix in rather than using raw eggs (from friends' chickens, but no real idea how old they were). He was convinced there are no eggs in tiramisu. Pretty good, I have to say.

                • ^^^ you do now realise Snoop that we’ll be needing that recipe?
                  * edited…just spotted it on the other thread!…cheers.

Well, we are back from getting our Xmas trees and did a small grory hop as well.

Now hunkering down for the ‘evening’ and knitting.
The pattern was too complicated for me so I’ve changed it , so it’s just as well I’m doing both leg warmers on the same needles…at least they mirror each other!

                      • Morning, how have you all faired in Storm Darragh? We had some rain but no wind at all, unless it comes later today.
Our granddaughter arrives tomorrow, all being well, and she is going to help decorate our tree. (The only reason we are putting one up). We will have it ready with the lights on and she can help put the baubles on it. Should be fun??
Enjoy your day and hope you weren’t affected by the storm. x

Remember to take lots of photos of her She’ll thank you in later years

As an aside…..Most of my early childhood photos are on slides. I really should get them out and take a look at them. Can you still have them professionally copied onto a DVD or printed off?

We were battered by wind and rain overnight with 400, 00 homes left with power and multiple trees down,
                                An indoor day for sure,
I might start to put up the Christmas decorations.
Have a good day all and stay safe.
