Good morning all.
I'd only just got up and was making coffee when a van came into our cul de sac, and a guy with a grin as big as the Amazon logo got out and waved cheerily. Yes, my naughty online purchases from yesterday..... just a couple of stocking fillers.
I can go out and do all my errands now. I am going nowhere near the city centre and/ or large supermarkets today although I do need to top up on milk yet again before Christmas. I don't know how two people get through so much. I think we average "a pinta, per person, per day", as the old TV advert used to recommend. I never touch the untreated stuff though after being seriously ill with both Scarlet fever and Brucellosis when I was younger.
Flo, do you have other options, other than the drive through? We're lucky as we can usually have them at a pre-booked appointment at our local surgery. Back in the days when we used to have to have them at the hospital it was a nightmare half day job and I'm sure the phlebotomists were trained by the Gestapo.
I made my fruitcake, which is for a present, yesterday afternoon, but I really ought to make another as we have only a small piece of ours left. ..... again. The joy of Mr GF getting his appetite back! Well, I suppose a chunk probably counts towards his 5 a day!
