Foggy start to the day again. Not quite as cold, but quite damp and miserable.

Off out briefly today but won't be out long. I have to argue with a bank. I'm a member of an agricultural coop and they have a link with the local savings bank, which means I need a credit card from said bank to purchase petrol at the much cheaper members' rate. But the bank is resisting giving me a card because I don't have an account with them and I don't want one. Their customer is the coop, in my view, not me. It's an argument I have with them every five years and I can't be the only one... Such a waste of time and temper.

Right, Mr Snoop is champing at the bit, so I'd better head off.

As for the smiles, Nicos, I think they'll be reaching you later in your camper and stopping over the night with you so they can join you on your walk tomorrow.

The Grory hop didn't happen after checking there's nothing we actually needed until Friday, so I've been out for a stroll instead, its rather windy out

Yes, it's started here too, as I've changed all the 2024 threads to 2025. Jumping the gun somewhat, but Nicos and I will be out in the morning, so have done it now.

Good morning all, and a very Happy New Year!

The wind is still blowing a gale but no rain, so not all bad. I have a grory hop later, but it's C&C so I won't get snarled up in the mad New Years day rush to the shops. I'm not a happy shopper, and find it hard to understand why so many people feel the need to rush to the sales, just to come home with bags and bags of, basically, landfill.

After that, a leisurely day browsing seed catalogues that have started to drop through the letter box, and a riffle through the seed stash to see what there is.

Cold and foggy here again. Same again tomorrow at the very least, by the look of it. Got the generator on at the moment as the solar batteries are extremely hungry.

Off out in a bit to collect a car, new to Mr Snoop and not quite as old as our others. Not sure what the roads will be like here. Fingers crossed quiet.

I'm planning on looking through my seed collection too. But I've done no serious gardening for a couple of years now, so will need to germinate seeds from quite a few packets to see if they're still viable. Fingers crossed for that too.
