I’ve been awake for a while too - Hibou brought me a poinsettia leaf for my breakfast then demanded to be let out..

Talking of prescriptions yesterday prompted me into going to collect this month’s medication.
Could I find the prescriptions?…nope - so I’ve had to make a GPs appt to get them both reprinted. I’m sure he’s got better things to do so I feel quite bad about it. And nope - there’s no receptionist to leave a message with as it’s all online booking.

Not sure about what today will bring but no doubt I’ll find out soon

Morning all and a belated happy new year... Life just keeps getting in the way of late!

Back to work yesterday so it was all a bit of a blur!

Very dark here this morning, it just seemed like it was never going to get light!

The garden is once again a bog, and not helped by the fact we're now doing some work in the garden so everywhere is rather muddy!

Nicos there's no paperwork with our prescriptions its all done on-line or over the phone for those with out the internet, then at the pharmacy they just need proof its you.

Yes, Nicos, the smile set off very early. They were a bit bored as our elderly female cat decided she wanted a cuddle off me, so I had a bit of a lie-in with her. She thinks Mr Snoop belongs to her and I rarely get any attention off her, so I thought I'd indulge her. So the smiles decided to get on their way without so much as a goodbye. Glad they reached you OK this morning.

Loads to do workwise and have decided to make a birthday cake for a friend in town. This will be a challenge. Can I resist licking out the ganache bowl...?

I see Rary is living dangerously again...

And good to see you back, Peteyd. Hope you and your family had a great festive season and a good 2022.

when I opened the curtains this morning there was a squirrel sitting on the window ledge looking in at me.
Maybe I need to get a cat
I never saw a squirrel while I had my two cats.

In other news it's just a domestics day.

good morning all,hi peteyd,happy new year to you and yours,them smiles are well trained snoop,am sure they have multiplied,just enjoy the cuddles as they come,squirrels are a pain,they like the new emerging buds,i am finding out my new garden gets very wet,son on about putting in a drainage pipe,to take it further down the garden,also needs soil redistributing,i am pleased to say i also have lost a small amount,am NOT going to say the word diet,am merely trying to be more sensible,like,get the comfort eating in a better place,still have things,but not go mad,plus i am finding i do not want to eat much of anything,how long this will stay in my zone IS another thing,i am doing my best to move forwards,and rebuild my life,am not ready to give up and a own my age,no no hosay,will be nice when things open up from the covid shut downs,there is a church hall nearby,it had a tea dance ,ext not interested in bingo,cannot dance,but are willing to learn ,have also started to do things in my new sewing room,slowly,have a good day and Bgood2youselves

Nicos - We're currently moving the oil tank ready for an extension we're planning to build in the summer. still a lot of work to do first though!

Bren In Pots - I haven't done yet! it was fairly old - firm but I suspect rather woody!

Good morning all. I hope everybody is okay. I got awakened by the 'phone about 7.30 am but didn't get to it fast enough. At that time it's never good news. I tried ringing back but " unavailable ". Enough for a mini panic until I realised all important callers have my mobile too which was charged and next to the bed. There was a beautiful peachy coloured glow to the sky (shepherd's warning) but it has gone now and the grey murk is firmly back in place.

I've got to meet up with one of the elderly in-laws' useless social workers this afternoon. That should be fun!

Also still attempting to sort out Mr GF's missing prescription item. I think a few "domestic goddess" jobs are on the cards too. I'll start by changing the bed next.

Morning all.

Very hard frost this morning and perishing cold out there at the moment, but the forecast is for bright sun today even if temps will not be that high. Mr Snoop sorted out a load of laundry and clothes in the house in the village yesterday and brought me back a pair of shorts! A bit optimistic still.

Sounds like you've got a busy day ahead, GF. Hope you manage to sort out the call. Me, I've got the usual load of work to get through. Also a visit from the neighbour down the valley, who's a ham-cutting expert (in comparison with us, at least, not difficult) and is going to show us how to do it properly. I reckon a better knife would be helpful. Anyway, our raggedy attempts still taste fantastic and that's what counts.

The smiles decided it was a bit chilly this morning so they're having a bit of a lie-in. Frankie is out somewhere, but I reckon he'll stir them up as soon as he gets back.

Morning

A cold frosty start here, won't be doing anything in the garden until it thaws some. I'll have a walk over to the corn merchant see if he's got potatoes in yet but thats it for shopping today.

Greenishfing its the same here everyone calls our mobiles the land line only used to get nuisance/spammers but since we put Call safe on we've had no calls at all. We might as well unplug it.

I started knitting a small tabard for my granddaughter yesterday….nice and simple!
I know…I should be getting on with the camper but sometimes it’s good just to zone out.

Very quick grory hop for me this lunchtime. Don’t need much but we’ve run out of some diet specifics.
Our washing machine is earning its living today - fingers crossed the tumble drier is in the same frame of mind!

gf…let’s hope you get the prescription sorted…how is your elderly relative with Covid? I’m sending lots of positive thoughts in her direction. Scary times xx

An ideal day to be outdoors butInmust go into town.
Two appointments, one for the eye specialist and the other for a visual field test.
The best part of the day will probably be gone by the time I get home.

Morning all. just squeezing in before the noonday gun!
I've been wrestling with my printer. I got a sheet of paper stuck in it and now after getting it out, it keeps telling me it's out of paper and won't have anything to do with the paper in the tray. Grrr..... A job for my bro, who fortunately spent his career as a copier repair man.
