Burnie we’ve not heard anything from Admin yet, hopefully it will go smoothly and we’ll only be missing those 3 days posts and nothing more.

Yeh…we’ll know when it’s done as those day’s posts will have disappeared. Looks like today - the third day will be needed after all.

Didn’t call in earlier as we had an early start - it’s one of our friend’s burpdays . Just had a wonderful picnic by a lake - sun and cloud, light breeze- perfect! A good day to have a birthday weather wise. Even yesterday we got soaked walking along a river side.

Downpour late last night. Hooray. Mind you, looks like it's going to be so hot for the rest of this week that the ground will bake to terracotta in next to no time. With any luck, some of it will sink in a bit.

Fingers crossed for the soak Snoop. Frank is not his usual bouncy self today. My GG is on an orthodontic course at Leeds university for four weeks so she's staying in a hotel there weekdays and I'm sure he's missing her! Lots of attention and cuddles needed today

Morning all.

A nice cool morning to start the day, but due to get hot, hot, hot later on. Me, I'm already working downstairs in the basement, not just to escape the heat but also Mr Snoop and young assistant gasbagging about building work they're doing and guitarists they like. Surprisingly, I can contribute to the latter conversation.

In sad news, our elderly cat died last night. We knew it was coming, but still upsetting. The last of the three cats we brought with us when we moved here, so the end of an era.

Plenty to be getting on with here, so I'd better shake a leg.

Snoop, that's so sad to lose your last elderly cat, especially as she came with you from the UK. As you say, the end of an era. It's always that way with animals we have and love for so many years. I know you will miss her deeply.
