Mornin n’alln’all
Light rain here so will need to think of an alternative plan for the day.
I do need to iron a few things though….
Have a great day peeps - all this talk about bread though is making me fancy some toast for breakfast!

Morning all.
To my surprise there was an autumnal feel to the breeze this morning. And it looks like today's high will be around 30 ºC, so positively cool by recent standards.Temps will rise again in a day or so, but night time temperatures are looking positively reasonable for the next two weeks. Phew!
I had toast for breakfast. Two pieces in fact, one of them the crust. So I take it this is a subtle hint from Mr Snoop that more bread is required. We ate the granary far too quickly, so I'd better make something we don't like as much. Anyway, that will be for this afternoon after I've got a morning of busy work out the way. I can have a nap while the dough is doing its first rise. Perfect.
Congrats on your loaf, mrsbusy.
Have a great day everyone.Last edited by Snoop Puss; 25-07-2023, 08:45 AM.

Congrats from me too on your loaf mrsbusy. We ate toasted homemade sourdough this morning too.
OH is thinking about making more Irish soda bread as it’s so quick and we can pop a couple of lasagnas in the oven at the same time.
Mine’s a 90cm wide oven…so pointless heating it up for just one thing. Looks lovely but not very practical tbh unless you are making something like Xmas dinner
I’m actually thinking of buying a second shelf so I can have several cakes and quiches cooking at the same time too.
The rain has finally stopped so the others have gone out on the bikes and I’m ironing…oh joy. Much easier to do when little in is out of the way.
Hope you find a butter dish Flo - I used to love browsing charity shops - got some really lovely things from them….you just have to keep popping in don’t you as everything changes!
Right…brew time over - there’s more tea in the pot if anyone is interested?"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Good afternoon all.
Got the laundry out and have just taken it in as it looks a bit cloudy.
I wont be ironing it today but it will still be there tomorrow.
Going yo a funeral removal this evening.
I love going around the charity shops, an absolute allzdins cave if your lucky.
Good luck with the hunt for your butter dish Flo.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Afternoon
Your hair looks nice Flo
Nicos that is a wide oven so a second shelf would be handy, my shelves fit in both ovens and if I’m only making a pie I use the smaller oven.
We’ve spent most of the day decorating some more to do tomorrow, then it should be finished.
I love wondering around charity shops you don’t know what you need till you see it

Talk of charity shops reminds me that I used to love getting up at the crack of dawn on a Sunday morning and wondering around a car boot sale. This was in the days before car boot sales became overly commercialised here. Mr GF used to end up buying me "presents" that he thought I'd like! He once came back to the car with a massive box containing every single Agatha Christie book. We stopped going while we could still just get through our front door! I used to love the feeling of never quite knowing what I might find.Last edited by greenishfing; 25-07-2023, 09:29 PM.

Morning
Sunny here as well Flo, keep popping in you might see one next time.
GF I've not been to a car boot for years we used to have some good local ones but they disappeared, have to travel further to the more commercial ones but like you say car boots have altered so I stick to charity shops now.
enjoy your dayLocation....East Midlands.

Good morning, dry but a lot of cloud cover with a wee bit of blue showing here and there, though I would prefer it here, grandson dropped off at his work, dogs walked, just two now that my son is back from his holidays, we are staying at our daughters just now, but will be glad when we go back home, so many creaky floorboards here and I am sure OH can identify the different creaks especially the ones near the fridge and biscuit cupboard whenever I go near them I get asked "what are you looking for?" it's surprising the amount of times I am looking for nothing but never find it, OH wants to go shopping today, daughter left the freezer full for us but OH will buy stuff that I would like, but not for me it will be for GD, and GS,
Well the clouds are breaking up and more blue sky showing and the forecast is for the temperature to go away up to 18c, so hopefully a pleasant day, which of course I wish for you all, catch you latterLast edited by rary; 26-07-2023, 08:07 AM.it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Mornin n’alln’all
I’m just listening to a hen clucking away as she’s laid an egg. Almost sounds like a cat mewing loudly at the door asking to come in!
We have sunshine so the others have gone off on the bikes whilst I prepare to be Mrs Mop .
If it stays dry we’ll be having a bbq tonight…and if it rains, we’ll still have a bbq but eat indoors!
We too are starting our courgette glut Rary….the recipes are interchangeable with trombone ones.
Speaking of which I best get some courgette soup on the go for lunch!
Enjoy your day peeps - and Flo….that’s a good excuse to keep popping into charity shops!. Goodness knows what you’ll find that you hadn’t realised you needed!"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
