We had bacon, egg, mushrooms and tomatoes, but thanks Flo for the offer.
Good morning from a cold wet miserable Dublin.
I dont think it's ever going to stop, it's raining since Thursday night.
No plans for the dsy, just going to the church.
Happy Sunday all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
Good afternoon just in from church and having a piece in toasted cheese and tomato, after which I was going to prepare for our tea, this evening but just got an invite upto our sons for our tea, won't be doing much today as its cold and wet, there's no ironing to be done, I think that's one of the jobs that should be done straight away, I can't be doing with piles of stuff sitting around when ten or twenty minutes can clear it up
I wonder if anyone feels guilty reading that previous paragraph, if so shame on you
Enjoy your day whatever the weather and do something that makes you happy
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers
Oh dear, now I'm fancying a bacon sarnie too....and I know that there is some dry cured smoked bacon in the fridge. It is lunchtime and my resistance is low.🥓
It was really cold this morning, windy and drizzling....the central heating came out of retirement again. The sun has just put in a belated appearance.
Afternoon
Had a week away in Scotland. Weather was pretty much lovely most of the time.
Picked all my toms before I went away and they've been steadily ripening. The ripe ones I cooked with basil and garlic before we went and put those in the freezer.
Garden weeds have gone mad and roses are reflowering, even the azalea.
Hope all are well . Just posted about something on my compost bin in weeds and pests. Dunno what they are though.
Right am off to put more washing out.
Thanks for the advice rary. I mentioned it to Mr Snoop. Mr Snoop has seen hardwood shuttering recommended. I reckon even a stretch of gabion wall. Anyway, we're pondering on the issue. Will let you know what we do and whether it's successful.
Had a fairly productive morning followed by a really nice visit out of the blue from our Italian neighbour and his daughter, who's visiting from the UK. We rarely get unannounced visitors as it's a long way to come if we aren't at home. Off to his place for lunch on Tuesday. Also nice, but bang goes the diet and we haven't even started it! Not much on the cards for the rest of the day. I was expecting to do some more work, but my glasses bust, so all I can do is wait in the hope that Mr Snoop's fix does the job.
Its been shorts and t-shirt weather here today, just come indoors because it feels like rains on the way. Its been a good day plenty of gardening, harvesting, planting and weeding, MrPots cutdown the JA's so we're more or less up to date.
20 minutes of ironing Rary?…mines more like 5 hrs worth just sitting there, watching me…..
So I ignored it, and went outside between thunderstorms and weeded the drive. Much more rewarding
We’ve had several amazing storms here today- mostly sheet lightning rolling on and on, with a few heavy downpours. Not as spectacular as a storm at night, but still exciting.
Well done with the diet Snoop!……life gets in the way sometimes, but that’s important too
Glad you had a lovely holiday containergardener.
My roses are blooming again too - and I noticed my rosemary has flowers on again….and my nasturtium and English marigolds have gone bonkers!

Mornin n’alln’all
Last to bed and first to rise again?
Well, I best get that kettle on for everyone!
Hibou has presented me with breakfast in bed already…. The orange seal of a Le Parfait preserving jar…the last time I saw that it was drying on top of the kitchen radiator
No set plans for today so I think I really will start that ironing.
Tomorrow is a very early start for me- we have to take the car in for a service. It’s a specialist garage over an hour away and we have to be there by 8am…the upside is that they are loaning us a car and IKEA is not far away!
I’ve also got a pile of windfalls needing cooking down. So that’s my day sorted then!
I forgot to mention that whilst I was weeding the drive yesterday I noticed loads of swallows on the overhead cables. I’m guessing they are ready to head off to Africa for the winter. Anyone else noticed this?
Enjoy your day peeps.I’ve not seen the smiles yet but I suspect my ironing pile is worrying them.

Admin on the cards for this morning, then a bit of cooking and baking for the freezer.
Oh, I've just looked at the weather forecast. Another 50 litres/mm per square metre of rainfall forecast on Wednesday. Looks like rain preparations will be needed too. Well, anyway, at least the smiles have a bit of sunshine to frolic in at the moment. Maybe that's why they're late showing up today, Nicos.
Good Morning All Sunny, windy and showers here, but I'm risking the washing. My son in law brought Chester to see me yesterday and he looks so well! He's not very good on his back legs, but that's down to his age. He's a happy dog again Have a good day
