Rary I’d got the door and back Louvres open, but my GH is in full sun so it soon heats up. Have you thought of starting your seeds in doors that should help germination.

Good morning all.

I tried to get on here a couple of times earlier but I couldn't. However I can now and the site is much faster than it has been recently.

I think I'll be getting a parcel this afternoon. It includes the first Christmas present I've bought. I've got another, on top of my wardrobe, but I actually bought that for a birthday this Summer, and couldn't find it when the birthday came around!

Hopefully I should get my Ikea parcel tomorrow. That is supposedly being delivered to a pick up point about half a mile away. As it's all bathroom stuff I think I'll give the bathroom a blitz today.

It's a cloudy, very blustery 10°C here at the moment and rain is imminent.

GF admin were informed the vine was down it didn't take the team long to get it back up and running.

Very windy here today so the poor windsocks doing a merry dance.

I won't be doing much in the garden apart from getting some lettuce from the GH.

Its 10 degs here and we have storm force winds from Debi but no rain.
The branches on the big trees are being whipped around like kindling.

An indoor day with plenty of domestics to keep me busy.

Afternoon all.

Bit of cloud coming over now, but it was a lovely morning.

Unfortunately, I've caught a cold from M. Fingers crossed it disappears soon.

Other than that, not much excitement today. Actually, that's not quite true. I've just been plodding away at the usual nonsense, but Mr Snoop has been making a big hole in the kitchen wall as part of his building work. I don't think the dogs will be sleeping in here tonight. We've had a high today of 25 ºC (not normal), but tonight will probably be quite cool.

Afternoon n’alln’all

Just got back from the eye specialist vet with Hibou.
Almost a four hour round trip. She absolutely hated being in the car. Worked herself into a right state crying ,majorly panting and scrabbling at the container. In the end I had to get her out and hold her firmly on my knee and she was way better. I don’t think that’s illegal here to do that, but she was going ballistic. When we first got her, they placed her in a cardboard box and she shredded her way out within about 10 minutes- so nothing has changed there then
Basically she has a retinal problem with her good eye and a viral infection of her cornea on her bad eye ( the one damaged with the tractor RTA 8 years ago. 4 lots of medication and a repeat trip in 3 weeks. Poor lass. Interestingly we heard not a peep from her all the way home, having slunk back into her basket on the vet’s examination table.Lets hope she’s calmer for the next visit.

Apart from that - it’s nice and sunny here , 15C and majorly dark rain clouds in the distance.

I have to say that I’m really impressed with the new IT team sorting out the Vine’s problems so quickly first thing this morning. A big thumbs up to them all from me for sure

Yikes Flo - I don’t envy you having to sort everything out..is it a good time to declutter a tad?
Snoop - hope it’s just a cold, I think we’re all more susceptible to these viruses having been so isolated for the past 2 years. I’ll cross my fingers for you.

I decided to cut up three oranges into slices and dry them , getting ready for festive decorations. I ate one of the others last night and it was a bit dry , so perfect timing really. The kitchen already has a lovely orange scent!

Enjoy your day peeps - whatever you get up to. I now need to explain to Hibou why we need to shove tablets down her throat and the need for eye drops three times a day- starting this evening. Oh well - so long as they do the trick eh?

Good evening, a cold wet day today, OH is getting better, I was out for some messages, and when I came back in the house, she told me she had left something in the kitchen for me so had a look but couldn't see anything, so asked what and where it was, what do you see in the kitchen beside the sink, she asked, " just the basin, washing up liquid and a spray bottle".I replayed. "Yes and the spray bottle is what you use around the sink and the hob" yes definitely getting better, I of course made the tea but I got the impression the OH doesn't consider slaving over slow cooker as work going to prepare my program for the garden club tomorrow night, can't leave it till tomorrow as OH is going for a check up tomorrow afternoon, hopefully everything is okay, however it will mean driving back home at the busiest time. Enjoy your evening and keep warm

Morning all.

One weather forecaster says cloudy, the other bright. Looks like the cloudy one is right today. Both say warm. Yesterday, we had a high of 25 ºC and a low last night of 8 ºC. Not that many years ago we would have been minus 6 every night.

On the menu for today, the same as yesterday. Clacking at the keyboard for me, building work for Mr Snoop. Looks like another day of head cold for me too. I can't really complain, though, as I rarely catch them these days.
