I went upstairs at one o'clock to Hoover and dust and got distracted by the last quarter of a jigsaw. I've finished the jigsaw and now the distraction is a cup of tea. The hoovering will have to be done another day! I've made it a rule that there's no housework after two oclock.

I am getting more forgetful! We took my brother-in-law to the doctor's for his ears syringing this morning and then after I had taken him home I set off to "Go Outdoors" which is a couple of miles away to buy something for my niece's birthday. As well as selling tents, sleeping bags, camping equipment etc, etc, they also sell clothing and footwear for all kinds of outdoor activities. The car however decided to drive straight past the camping shop and have a trip to the garden centre!🙄🤣 I think I was on autopilot as it was only when I was pulling into the garden centre car park that I realised what I'd done. Of course I never let on to Mr GF that I'd not planned on going there, and went and topped up on bird food. Mr GF is getting worried that "our" birds will end up too fat to take off. At least I did remember to call at the camping shop on the way back and bought a suitable present. They had a sale on so a couple of other items sneaked into my basket.🙄

Good evening all.
It was a lovely sunny day but very cold.
Managed to get into town and got a gift for my grandaughter.
Decided to treat my daughter to dinner for her birthday.
Bought a floral arrangement and visited my fathers grave.
Called in to visit my friend.
Polished the furniture now Christmas is packed away.
Couldn't Hoover as it's gone too dark.A job for tomorrow methinks.

Jay, I hope you feel better soon and your energy picks up.

In this day and age we need to do our utmost to support our local garden centres….

I’m a really happy bunny tonight- I went into one of the cellars and PUT THE LIGHTS ON !!!!!!!…oh wow…we’ve not been able to do that for 5 years!
The electrician is back on Wednesday to sort out the outside lights so we can actually find the cellars in the first place!
It’s been -3C most of the day so it’s not been a nice job for him. Bet he wished he hadn’t cancelled pre Xmas when it was 12C!

I see snow has already fallen in the south of England….we have some forecast tonight/ tomorrow!

it had a bit of a flurry here in Gods county of Warwickshire Nicos but I was slaving over a hot stove at the time ... finally getting to grips with the new cooker. I agree with supporting local nursaries we, sadly, only have one of these chain department stores that sells a few plants ... Dobbies. out local nursery closed last year as the old guy who ran it dies and his wife and kids weren't interested in carrying on so I guess it will be sold off for housing - shame really.

well my roasties have gone down now and the Sauvigon Blanc seems to have evapourated so best go and make a coffee ... evening all

No snow here hopefully it will stay that way.

Its a shame when family run businesses close we've lost our butchers, veg shop and bakery in the last few years.

We have sunshine today so I'll be wrapped up and in the garden later.

Yup - it’s still falling Flo, although it’s slowed down considerably.

We’ve just had a chat with our granddaughter and I have a special request to make another woolly hat for her …so I best go and find my knitting needles!
Perfect activity whilst being snowed in!
( we’re not snowed in as yet though!)

rary, we're all passing on your smiles, It's the most amazing pass-the-parcel ever. Take one and there are always more.

No snow here, apparently. And no rain to speak of either. Just perishing cold. Pah!

Mr Snoop off out for the day. Me holding the fort with the dogs. They're pretty determined to stay indoors it would seem. Very sensible. But at some point I'm going to have to go out and stock up on firewood close to the house. We're getting through it like nobody's business.

Hope your recovery speeds up, Jay. Been a while now. Big cyber hug.
