Good morning all. Dull with a bit of drizzle.
Today is my mothers anniversary do getting some flowers to visit the cemetary.
Looking after my grandson this afternoon.

Snoop, having confidence rin the dentist is half your battle and then the visits get easier.

I've been struggling for ages to think of something to buy for my "difficult" sister's birthday, at the weekend. In the end I've sent her flowers and a personalised card from a company that she uses (so is obviously up to her standards). My other sister is generally far easier to buy for.

I'm doing a grory hop later. My list today is not very long....I'm just not getting any inspiration at all beyond the necessities of life.....wine, beer, milk, cream, strawberries etc

I can just smell the aroma the croissants cooking in the oven for elevenses. Time to go.

Good afternoon,dull but dry, showing a temperature of 16c but feels a bit warmer, I need to make a new gate for accessible to the field so have decided to make new steps and reverse the way the gate opens, so this will keep me busy for a day or two. Glad you were happy with your visit to the dentists Snoop, at your age you need to look after yourself😁 and Flo there is no way i am commenting on your hair, if OH found out i would be in serious bother,as i rarely comment on hers, just heard on the news the price of potatoes is rising wonder if i could sell some to OH or come to an arrangement🤔 little chance of that, but i will try😏 enjoy your day and pass on some smiles🙂🙂🙂

Guess who’s been a busy bunny this morning?
4 washer loads of bedding, a grory hop, a visit to a builder’s merchant for supplies and now very ready for a brew- so , yes please CG!…very much appreciated! Ta muchly x

Our central heating/ hot water boiler packed up yesterday…so the specialists are here trying to fit a pump (- which isn’t actually the right one- it’s all they had in stock) just so we can have hot water for our guests.
Theres black smoke coming out of the exhaust as I speak- so it might be a bit more complicated…* gets ready to sob…
Also hanging around hoping to take delivery of a replacement hob…which might arrive today…or Friday…or Saturday…or Monday
I think there’s a jinx hiding somewhere…..maybe we should ask the Smiles with their super powers to chase it away?

Sun and cloud in that order.
Off to get a covid injection as I missed out on the last one.
Visiting my sister this afternoon.
She dropped a kettle of boiling water on her foot.
This is the sister who al,ost died just over 2 years ago when she had a brain haemorrhage.
This is the sister whose husband dropped dead in front of her as they were out for dinner.
She is really struggling at this stage and I can understand why.
Some people are very unlucky in life.
She lost her daughter aged 7 to cystic fibrosis, so a lot of sadness in her life.
The fact that she wont take help from anybody doesnt help.
However, I can only try.

It sounds as if you've got gremlins, Nicos! (I loved that film.) I can only hope things improve for you.

I have got all organised for making more strawberry jam, and all three ingredients, strawberries, sugar and lemon juice, are now ready to be brought to the boil. My jars are all washed and ready for sterilising and I've got plates chilling ready to test for a set. I'm just savouring a coffee before I start. Mr GF is munching a croissant. When I was shopping yesterday I heard a little girl ask her mum. "Why is that lady buying ALL those strawberries?"

I've got to go to the doctor's later for an injection. It really does not hurt, so why on earth do I let myself get in such a tizzy about it? Sometimes logic just doesn't work. When "fight or flight" kicks in, I've got my running shoes ready.

Well the jam won't make itself so bye for now.

Yikes Bramble…I need to count my blessings .

My Update is that they’ve at least got the boiler working with a temporary fix until the real part arrives next week….phew!
Maybe I’m unusual but I really want people to enjoy their time here - some people struggle to save up and it’s something they’ve looked forward to for months. I want to provide the best…hence my stress!

GF- bet your house smells yummy! Makes me fancy a piece of toast with jam on it now!

Goodness, Bramble. I'm not surprised your sister is struggling. I can't imagine how she must feel. Almost as if she's not entitled to any happiness. Puts my petty problems into very stark perspective. Counting my blessings is the very least I should be doing. You may feel like she won't take any help, but I'm sure you must be a great support to her.
