Morning all.

Yesterday's rain amounted to next to nothing. We seem to be just on the edge of some severe storms this year, as places relatively nearby are struggling with severe flooding and landslides. Not sorry to miss those, but even so...

Had hoped to have a good day in the garden today, but hunters and a huge pack of dogs have put paid to that. So it'll have to wait till tomorrow. Will do a bit of work in advance and have an afternoon nap instead. I definitely need one.

Morning another dull 12° morning with sun promised for the afternoon. None yesterday again so maybe today's the day.

Good morning all.

It's very grey and overcast here and 14°C. According to the forecast we might get rain this evening. However, having stuck my head outdoors, it is actually spitting now.

I've had a horrid night's sleep....couldn't get to sleep and couldn't stay asleep. I feel tired this morning. I did, however, get round to ordering Mr GF's birthday present. It's not until early October but I'm liable to forget nearer the time. It's a heated throw for when he's sat/laid in his recliner. He runs quite a lot cooler than me and often uses a normal throw when I'm still wearing a T shirt and no slippers. I did mention them to him a while ago and he seemed to think they were a good idea.

Mr GF is due his croissant shortly and I think I'll have one with him today with some of the plum and mulled wine jam. I'll go light the oven and make coffee next.🙂

Out to the church this morning.
Taking grandson out for lunch to celebrate his college results.
That should fill in the day nicely.

Evenin n’alln’all

We ended up having a good day…first vide Grenier had been cancelled…there were a few stalls at the second place- but it was held near a hypermarket ( unusually open on a Sunday morning!) so we did a small grory hop and filled up with petrol, then went on to a third vide Grenier where we got loads of bargains.
Came home and did the first big Sunday roast of the Autumn.
We sat outside waiting for the roasts sipping fizz then it started to drizzle so we came inside…then the heavens opened bouncy rain for about 20 minutes!
No lighting but I guess MH nabbed all that!
All calm again but the fields look really misty in the dusk light.
Early night for me too gf…Recently.I’ve taken to playing ‘deep brown noise’ on the iPad at its lowest setting to see if that works, but I’m not so sure

I've just checked out 'deep brown noise'. Never heard of it before. Definitely not my cup of tea. The dog snoring gently is enough for me (Mr Snoop rarely snores, but I'm not telling him that!). Otherwise silence and pitch black. I sleep better here than anywhere else in my entire life. Hope you get a good night's kip tonight, GF.

Sounds like we've had pretty decent days. Hope yours was the same, Rary. Fingers crossed for more of the same tomorrow.

We have a calm, warm and sunny start to the day even though everywhere is sopping wet!
Hope it headed off in direction Snoop!
We’re supposed to be going to IKEA to spend that voucher today …can’t seem to get my enthusiasm up for that just now ( never thought I’d hear myself ever say that!) We’ll see…..

Apart from that, there is a mahoooosive list of jobs always needing doing by yesterday so I won’t be sat twiddling my thumbs for sure!

Nicos did the ‘deep brown noise’ help? Snoop I'm not bothered by the noise but it has to be as dark as possible for me to get to sleep, blackout curtains help so long as there's no gaps at the side.

A much better night's sleep. I only woke up once and then soon dropped back to sleep. I feel so much better for it.

It's chucking it down here and supposedly going to continue all day. I'd divert some to you, Snoop, if I could get the stirrup pump to work long distance.

For some reason my brain decided "Should Have Gone" referred to Specsavers.????

Morning all.

A better picture of Missy, up a tree for the first time. More importantly, she managed to get down too. I had to lock her out of the bedroom last night. Way too playful for us to be able to sleep. The door was blocked like Fort Knox when I got up - she's so lithe and wriggly she managed to get back in underneath it. Anyway, here she is looking quite cute.



No rain here, I'm afraid, Nicos. It all fell west of us. But there was quite a heavy dew this morning and a fair mist, so definitely damp in the air. Very autumnal.

Plenty to keep me busy today, so I'd better step on it.
