I've just had a 💡 moment. I eventually had the energy to throw the vacuum cleaner around today, and everything looks much better. After I'd done, I decided to give the filters a wash. These filters are still the originals, a good few years old, and still going strong, thick foam and thick felt. Their only problem is that they need air drying and can take two or three days. I probably wash them once a month, but I can guarantee that if I have any kind of minor catastrophe that a vac would sort out quickly, it always happens when the filters are drying. So the 💡 moment. I ordered a set of spares. An amazing bargain at less than £7. Why didn't I think of this before.🤯

Morning all.
The rain forecast has dropped a bit. Thank goodness. More importantly, the heavy rain is forecast for more civilised hours rather than when we'd choose to be tucked up nice and warm in bed. An idiot in a 4x4 was out this morning. I'm guessing a hunter. It rains a lot more in our valley than in the village itself, so perhaps they weren't aware of how muddy everything would be. Probably out looking for boar tracks. Likely to get bogged in or up to his knees if he ventures into the ploughed fields, which is where he was heading.
On the cards for today, a bit of rearranging of the temporary kitchen. Soon be over. Let's hope we keep our tempers with each other when it comes to reinstalling the little range's chimney pipe. Either Mr Snoop is being very blithe about it or he's avoiding talking about it.
In the meantime, on with the paid work.
Have a great day, everyone.

Good morning
Grey and breezy here, but a few sunny spells forecast for later. Flo, I was just wondering if the ginger cat has got school age kids on holiday at his permanent home and he is visiting you to relax in peace.
I'm just writing a shopping list for my grory hop which may be today or tomorrow. I hate shopping in school holidays and it can be busy at the weirdest times. I also need to call in at my local Sainsburys today to pick up something that I ordered from Argos on Friday. It was supposed to be there on Saturday morning but has only just arrived. The main reason I ordered from them was because I could supposedly have the items next day. I never visit their store any more as there is only one left in the city now and it is in the city centre inside the big Sainsburys which I hate going to, with abysmal parking and queues, even with click and collect. I'm sure I'll think of some suitable feedback for them as I never got told there would be a delay and when I attempted to contact their customer service I ended up having a pointless text conversation with a bloody machine, which I would have thrown through the window if I could have got my hands on it. Aaaarrrggghhhh! If I wasn't desperate for these items I would cut my nose off to spite my face and send them straight back.
I've just had a text from DPD local however with a one hour timeslot for something else I ordered on Sunday night.
I'm not against all technology, by any means. If I only have a handful of items I'm more than happy to use a self checkout even if they sometimes seem to take a dislike to me.
I need more coffee.

Good morning all.
I just had to come on here to see if I could borrow Snoops ark.
We have had torrential rain since last night, and it's still pouring down.
The lightening lit up the sky alo night, never seen anything like it.
It will be a book reading day here in Malaga.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

^That lightning storm made national weather news, bramble . You've got more bad weather ahead too till Thursday, though the rainfall will start to diminish on Wednesday. The weather has also been affecting flights. How long are you there till? I hope it doesn't affect your return home. Send me a pm with dates if you want and I'll check out the news for you.
Edited: I've just been looking at videos of the lightning and of hail. You're better off forgetting the ark idea: I think you'd be washed out to sea!Last edited by Snoop Puss; Yesterday, 11:26 AM.
