    • Good morning.

It's very grey and 5°C here, although the forecast does promise sunny spells later.....I'm not convinced.

Today, I need to take some bits and bobs over to my brother in law. I also want to pick up a click and collect order. I may even have a very quick visit to Aldi to see if they've got the two items they didn't have on Wednesday. Very quick if I use the self service tills.

      Definitely NO cleaning today however.

I might even have a look online at some of the supposed Black Friday sales later.

It was really nice to wake up cocooned in the brushed cotton bedding. The new fitted sheet feels lovely and pulls nice and tight, not a wrinkle in sight, so no need to iron. To be fair it would take a lot to convince me that ironing bedding is necessary these days.

        • Good morning all dull, grey and misty with a strong breeze. However its currently 12 degs.
lots of errands to do today and then we will be going to vote.

I have a few pairs of fleshy lined trousers, very comfortable on the coldest days.

Snoop, so pleased the work went well for you.
As for the smiles, I dont think they will be coming to my neck of the woods...not a lot to smile about.

          Have a good day all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

          • Afternoon n’alln’all
Yet again…can’t believe this has happened twice in one week…..no internet again
This time the outage was from yesterday evening until just now.
From the sound of things, it looks like the guys cutting back the hedgerows which had collapsed into the lanes due to the heavy snow last weekend managed to cut through the fibre cables
At least we still had electricity!

            Anyway…I’m here now

Snoop- that work sounds really very satisfying…I’m going to keep my fingers crossed now for a decent growing season for you weather wise next year. You certainly deserve one .

I’ve had a quiet day so far…got loads of washing sorted which is always a good thing.

Hibou has been in and out all day- it’s actually feeling warm in the sunshine, but she’s now on her back, legs akimbo, in front of the fire.
            What a life

                  • Mornin n’alln’all
We have a very chill, damp and misty start to the day.
once the mists lift I’ll head off for a quick grory hop locally.
Xhats everyone up to on this very last day of November ?
I’ve asked my oh if he’ll put up the Xmas lights in the plum tree outside the front of our house.
’ot quite so straight forward( of course) in that the cable needs to run across the gravel driveway - so it needs threading through a piece of scaffolding pipe which needs snuggling into the gravel to prevent the chips from piercing it when it’s driven over.
                    Well worth the effort though!

                    Enjoy your day peeps…

                    • Morning all.

Had a very nice day yesterday, not very productive but very nice. Do need to be upping the output though.

Off out today. Shopping and then meeting up with a friend for a drink. Probably off out this evening as well, as some friends are opening their restaurant. So along with half the village, at least, we'll be going for a nosy around. Actually, I might see if I can delegate Mr Snoop to be our official representative for that.

Have a great day, everyone. Another cyber-hug for you, Bramble.

                        • Morning

Another dry day here, not much happening here so I'll probably tidy the GH, sort out canes and clean labels. It won't be long before I'll need them again.

                          Enjoy your day

                            • Good morning.

The forecast for now is fog, however, we have weak, wintery sunshine and we have just reached 10°C.

I fought my way through the horrific traffic to the outskirts of the city yesterday for my click and collect. It seemed as if the whole population was out and about in their cars, trying to park. I imagine it will only get worse in the run up to Christmas. The furthest I intend going today is to grab a newspaper for Mr GF.

When I called round to see my brother in law yesterday I asked him if he'd tried the half fruitcake that I took him at the beginning of the week. He has already scoffed the lot.

I must remember to freeze some butter later ready to make my next batch of Christmas puddings. The mix for four small ones just fits nicely in my Kenwood bowl and four just fit snugly in my electric steamer. I usually give a different brother in law a few for Christmas, and Easter, and his birthday ........... They're one of his favourite foods.

                              Hugs from me too, Bramble.
