  • Flo, I am so sorry to hear you're going through this worry. I will keep him, and you in my thoughts.

Good morning, cold and dry here but it's just 4 degs.
Domestics this morning and thrn looking after my grandson this afternoon.
    Have a good day all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

          • Good afternoon, was at the church coffee morning earlier, thats the last one till after new year, and I know what will come next Thursday, " as we're not going out we can clean, cupboards, drawers, wardrobes, " pick any one of the three, or probably all three . Was playing santa yesterday for the young children at the toddlers, and actually got a hug from one of the children, she was pulling my coat then holding her arms out, so had to give a quick hug, another one kept bringing toys over to me, so had to put them into my bag and take them away with me, while getting ready OH said I didn't really need to wear a wig, as my hair was the same colour, I suppose its just as Flo said us younger ones like this colour . Anyway have a good day and pass on the smiles

              • Morning all.

Frosty out there and cloudy but dry this morning. Possibly even a little bit of sunshine coming through in places. Hope so. The solar batteries have been quite hungry on occasion these last few days.

On the cards for today: work, try and avoid listening to whatever car podcast Mr Snoop has got on at the time (there's nothing like having to scrap a car to make him start listening to them endlessly), and maybe a bit of baking if I've got time. M up the valley is visiting some friends further north over the weekend, but she's a domestic goddess and I have no idea what to give them. Except perhaps one of the many bottles of whisky we seem to have acquired in recent weeks.

Hope you all have a great day.

A dull drizzly day here, no real plans apart from domestics and taking some items to the charity shop.

                  enjoy your day

A dull start this morning, looks like it's going to be a dreigh day today and IT has just suggested that we(me) wash the floors then put the Christmas tree up and I just don't feel in the mood for that at present, but I suppose I should give myself a shake and go and hide somewhere there seems to be a bit of a feeding frenzy with the birds just now there were about so down fluttering around the feeders with others in the hedgerow, as well as a couple of squirrels, I have watched them trying to get up to the feeders without success so happy about that, need to I and get some floors washed so enjoy your day nd pass on the smiles

                      • Mornin n’alln’all
We had a heavy fall of hailstones during the night. It’s all gone now though.

Might go on a hunt for some holly berries later- looks like the birds have eaten our usual source. Not that it matters…maybe they are scarce and we should leave them….

Thinking of you and your family Flo. Looks like we’re all winging very positive thoughts his way xxx

                          • Morning, a damp 3° this morning. Since granddaughter is here and we won’t see her over the festive season we are having Fakemas tomorrow and the wider family are coming. Domestics on the cards for that and out to buy some party food. Looking forward to having everyone. Other than that nothing much happening.
Hope you get some positive news this morning on your grandson Flo. Thinking of you all.
Enjoy the rest of your day folks. x

                            • Good morning all.

It's 6°C here and sort of murky, verging on foggy.

I need to call round at my brother in law's later with a few bits of shopping and his half of my latest fruit cake. His "cleaner", who does far more than clean, does his main shop for him once a week. He also has a hot meal delivered five days a week. I try to help with anything he needs without pushing him, as he really values his independence, a flat in a complex with a warden, after decades of being told what to do.

Today is the last day of Mr GF's antibiotics I'm happy to say. I have noticed that his appetite seems to have really increased this week, definitely a good thing. Everything seems to now be his favourite food. I just googled antibiotics/increased appetite and was surprised to learn it's a reasonably common side effect and can continue for months afterwards.

My Christmas "stuff" is stored in the base of our ottoman bed. I think this weekend I'll investigate and drag some of it out.
