Morning, my lovelies.

Yes, I'm in a good mood today. I've had a very productive start to the day, got the poems out the way at long last, have looked in on the Gardeners Rest and was first to have a go at today's Winter Dictionary entry, so I had my pick of all the possible wrong definitions! If I ever get one right, I think it'll be a lucky fluke. Great threads, LD, GF and MH.

Despite hogging the smiles a bit early on, I've shooed them out so they should be on their way to you. Actually, it wasn't so much me hogging them as them not being massively keen to set off today. It was another perishing cold night last night and they weren't all that enthusiastic about going out. But once the sun was up, they were up and away. They'll be glad, as will I, when the days start to get noticeably longer.

I have a long list of jobs, but none of them absolutely have to be done today except make brandy sauce and/or brandy cream. Lunch up the valley, so that will take care of the rest of the day too, I reckon.

Morning ,wet windy and miserable here as well,i got a cake to bake ready for tommorrow afternoons christmas party,a loaf of bread,and hope i got time for some more sausage rolls,my visitors like them,then a clean the mess up in the kitchen,thats the worse job,with sit downs in between with a coffee or hot choc,and look in the GR and see what they up to,ohhhh what they get up is no bodies buisness,

Loads of sploshy stuff here overnight.
OH has just had notification that his phone will ( finally) be delivered ‘today’.
So, to avoid disappointment , we’ve decided to do our grory hop tomorrow, calling in at Market on the way- instead of just the basic hop later today.
Our friend finished the last door yesterday…and has agreed to give up some of his time in February to help build a couple of fitted wardrobes . Yip yip…after all these years the interior is finally being fully converted into ‘ our home’. It’s amazing what you put up with on a needs must situation.
So…seeing as it’s still raining , I’ve decided to finish off my daughter’s leg warmers, get some more baking done, and just potter around the house doing a few Domestic Goddess jobs

I treated myself to a few ( talking of about 30) new teatowels the other day so might just get the iron out and get those out of
the way,( having been run through the washing machine to remove any starch etc).
A lot I know, but we provide guests with several and about 1 in 3 end up waaay too stained after washing to even consider letting other guests use. Consequently , I have a drawer full of stained teatowels for my own use. Probably getting on for 60 or more of those….on top of my own!

So….that's my day sorted as no doubt OH will think up something…..

Good morning all. Dull and grey but dry and everything is still, so no breeze.
We are having a day out today.
Taking our grandson into town for lunch, then around the city to see the Christmad lights and finally to the theatre to see Peter Pan.
It will be a long day but we started this tradition ehrn our first grandchild was 5 and he is now 34.

Great to hear your work is progressing Nicos and hope your hubby's phone arrives.

Back from my hair cut, little wind socks untangled itself like magic.

Fingers crossed the phone to arrive Nicos. There's nothing wrong with using stained tea towels they just look bad hung out on the washing line eventually ours are relegated to the garage ragbag.

Good morning all.

After peeking out at 4am and 7.30am and not being impressed by the weather I eventually surfaced at 9.30! It is blowing a gale here and raining too.

Nicos, my sister and I were discussing sheets and towels the other day. We have opposing views. She always buys dark and/or patterned items (to camouflage paw prints, etc). I nearly always buy white (can be washed hotter and bleached).

If the gale abates I'll go and do a grory hop today. Hopefully it won't be too busy.

I can now see a tiny patch of blue in the sky. I doubt there's enough for a pair of baby's britches, but it's an improvement.

happy tea time all,nice shape hair Bren,you can both relax a bit more now Nicos,but it did make you wonder,hope you enjoyed your lunch Bramble,my cake has sunk in the middle,but the rest is nice and spongy,so will have a think,maybe ending up a large chocolate donut cake,still eddible,the bread however is lovely,cut the end off,stuck it in the freezer to cool of,and had it with spread and jam mmmmm,need to get the cake all sorted before bed time,and yes i did catch up on some sleep,put cake in the oven,alexa alarm on for an hour,boy it was bliss,it is big mix,1ld off everything and 8 eggs,so took longer to cook.

I've just popped this evenings lasagne in the oven so thought I'd have a bit of a read.

Good news about the phone finally arriving Nicos hopefully setting it will go smoothly.

I always feel better after having my hair cut its so tempting to trim bits myself if I go longer between cuts. I used get carried away with the scissors and make a mess

Good evening, we actually had some sunshine for a short time this morning, with a temperature of 12c, arranged for my Xray for this afternoon, so to fill in the time OH decided to let me take her to a GC for a plate of soup and a coffee before attending the hospital, I have been trying to limit the pain killers but unfortunately the pain can get quite sever at times, so possibly not the best of company at times, anyway got the Xray out the way, now waiting for the 30th. when I attend the Q. E. hospital for a nerve test which is associated with the carpal tunnel syndrome, just hope everything is either manageable or out the way before spring time, or I can see myself having problems with having to do housework etc. I wont be able to sleep tonight after having that thought, I now need to go and get immersed in a book to try and loose that thought, so I wish you all a good night and remember to pass on the smiles at every opportunity you get

Hope everything is straight forward Rary…you’ve hung on for months for your carpel tunnel. Are both hands affected?

As for your hip…..…..fingers crossed thats something easily sorted xx

oh!…and if you can’t sleep…..I have a few cupboards in need of sorting and cleaning out!…I hear you are quite the expert?
