  • Good night all.
Back home after a very enjoyable, but exhausting day.
The pantomime was very enjoyable, but we are just shout ready for an early night.

Rary, do sorry to hear you're still suffering and hope you get a positive result from your x ray.

    • Mornin n’alln’all
Looks like our bedroom clock has jumped forwards an hour again
Must have heard me put in an order for a new one
I guess forwards is better than back in that we’ll be at Market bright and early. Well…more like dark and early.

Sounds like it’s been blowing a hooley again overnight…just getting the occasional gusts now.

Bren..,setting up of the phone hasn’t gone smoothly….it had lost the ability to catch Wi-Fi and internet access so couldn’t use Bluetooth nor the iCloud, so he’s had to enter absolutely everything manually.
That kept him quiet for the whole day
That’ll teach him to keep dropping it ( along with losing fingerprint access and the ability to charge unless you held the charger in situ
on top of losing the internet access) This time he’s been persuaded to get a military grade cover
I think I should invent something like that string we had as children which threaded through our sleeves to hold our gloves in place….but this time for keeping phones safe
Funny how you never see children with gloves attached to strings anymore…it was a brill idea. I certainly didn’t use them with my children. Maybe it’s because as kids we were left more to our own devices so more likely to lose one?

And on that thought, I guess we need to get a wiggle on and head off to market soon, although having said that, it’s pitch black still outside.

Enjoy your day peeps whatever you get up to.

      • Morning all.

Dull here today, but the cloud cover means no frost. Which is good for Mr Snoop as he's had to take our friend up the valley to the station this morning. The weather forecast says it should be sunny, with light drizzle early evening. Better get plenty of firewood in before that happens. We've been getting through it this year due to having a bigger space to heat and keeping the bedroom warmer for longer. Makes a huge difference to our comfort but will be a bit of a shock to the pocket, buying another lot of firewood.

On the cards for today, a bit of work and some domestics I think, plus a bit of baking if I can fit it in. Looking like a nice balanced day. Will take the dog out at midday after lunch as well.

Hope they manage to find a solution for your hip, rary. Pain is very wearing, though I can't imagine you being irritable or bad company. Much too smiley for that! How long before you hear back?

Good luck to Mr Nicos and his phone. Long may it stay intact.

        Have a great day, everyone.

              • Good morning.

Mr GF nearly choked with laughter when he glimpsed me wandering round in a big fluffy black and white onesie in the early hours. There were a few comments about abominable snowmen but I was warm as toast. It's still only 4°C outside, but breezy and sunny.

I still need to make one more Christmas cake and four more Christmas puddings. I really ought to get on with it as they are Christmas presents. I made my sister feel better when I told her I still had them to do, until she realised that they were "her" Christmas puddings. Evidently, our brother in Australia video-called her the other day when she was just taking a Bakewell tart out of the oven. He wanted one! She wanted to know how long the puddings that I sent him took. Eventually she did realise that a Bakewell tart wouldn't do well travelling for a fortnight and would probably be unacceptable to Customs. She has emailed him the recipe.🤣

Rary, I hope you can get your pain under control enough to enjoy Christmas.

Nicos I had gloves on a length of elastic. I hated gloves, bonnets, hats and scarves though and did my best to lose them. My mother fought a constant losing battle trying to keep me clean and tidy. Thankfully I had grandparents who let me go out without gloves and hats.... but with dire warnings about chilblains and piles.

Time to put a croissant in the oven for Mr GF.

I still don't dare fuss him Snoop, I'm afraid he might bite me again! He's started to rub his head against my hand when I give him a treat, so it's a start!

                  • Good morning all, bright and sunny but much cooler.
A small grory hop this morning.
I think I will wrap my Christmas gifts this afternoon.

Gloves on strings...never see that now...children dont wear gloves any more...Funny how things change.
Most kids are driven to school plus we dont get the freezing conditions of years ago.

Hope Mr Nicos has better luck with this phone
I got everything from my phone and tablet transferred over easily but The Grapevine Forum wont work for me
Its telling me if I am a first time user to set up an account This happened to me before and I couldn't get back on do I am still using my old tablet just for this.
                    Have a good day all..

                    • I don't think many children wear gloves nowadays because they are busy on their phones all the time!

                        • Bramble, is there not an option somewhere on the screen to sign in using your password? I have an Android phone and signed in with my password when I first started using my phone. Are you an Apple user?
