I just heard the quietest little knock on the front door, and found a big M&S flower delivery box sitting on my doorstep. They are now unpacked.



The roses actually smell really nice too. What a nice surprise.

Good evening all.Its got quite cold here.
Got everything done earlier than expected so as we were passing the supermarket we decided to do the Christjas grory hop.
Home now and all packed away
Flo, never heard 9f a drive by blood test, hope it works out for you on Monday.
I have a jigsaw to start but usually make it on the dining room table so I will have to wait until the new year as the table will be in use.

Beautiful bouquet gf..lovely reminder to keep the fir cones.

Mornin n’alln’all

Bit warmer here with on and off fine drizzle…..so I might get a chance to get some driveway weeding done!…I managed a bit yesterday and they pulled out incredibly easily, so it would be a pity to waste this warmer/ dryer opportunity!

Well I never!….I’ve just realised it’s Midwinter’s Day…yip yip….the days will start getting longer at long last Always an uplifting thought!
Does anyone on the Vine specifically celebrate today ? If so…enjoy the day.

Whatever you get up to today…pass on a smile ( I spotted them not long ago whizzing overhead giggling away- I guess they know some exciting festive secrets people have shared!)

I've been looking up sunrise/sunset times, and was surprised to see that even though today is the shortest day, the latest sunrise is not until 30th December (08:16 here) although from tomorrow it sets a minute or two later each day.

Off out this morning. A surprise to me, I thought it was tomorrow, but we'll do some veg shopping while out, so all good.

Right, better shake a leg. Mr Snoop is a stickler for punctuality and I'm hopeless in that respect...

Happy midwinter its a dry-ish day here then snow late this evening until Sunday morning.

A bit of sewing this morning just shortening some new pj's before they're washed. Later we'll be decorating the mantlepiece and putting up other bits.
