Morning all.
Still foggy here as it was all day yesterday. This is the first proper fog we've had for several years. I like fog. I know it's not pleasant if you have to be travelling in it, but I love to walk in the fog, with the trees drip, drip, dripping, and all the sounds muffled. Shadows loom into trees as you get closer, the last leaf or two detach from their branches and drift silently down. Distances seem to change somehow, and you don't reach where you think you should be as soon as expected.

Endless wonder.

Morning all.
Congrats on the cat front, Flo. I looked up Wasgij too. I'd wish you luck, but you've brought the cat round so you're bound to succeed.
Weather here today bright but extremely cold. Looks like we've got a few days of this before the wind comes back.
Another nice day on the cards, bit of work, bit of baking, bit of soup making for the freezer, bit of domestics. Bit of a nap maybe?
Have a great day, everyone.

Morning,Fog still here,if anything looks a bit thicker,i wonder if all the previous wet we had,and then the milder last few days has caused it,as we all know you get fogy patches in lower ground around water, just a thought, sigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these

Mornin n’alln’all
Still a tiny bit misty/ foggy here too. It is nice for a change isn’t it? ( but not if you are driving of course as MH said!)
Not quite sure what’s on the books for today - but OH is looking like he’s in ‘work mode’ so I guess something will come up unless I can find something else to do first!
Actually…I need to design a fitted cupboard and wardrobe doors , both to fit into a couple of very awkwardly shaped spaces ( leaning ceiling walls…nothing square…ya know….the sort of thing left til last cos it’s going to be very difficult to design)
Our friend is coming back to crack on with them early February so in reality I’ve not got long seeing as two weeks before then we’ll be in the uk.
So…there we go….thats my day sorted. Lots of research into strangely shaped fitted cupboards then drawing up several alternative plans for OH and our friend to ponder over.
I might just take a half hour break at some point and pull out some weeks from the driveway, just for a bit of fresh air seeing as it’s not blowing a hooley/ hail stoning/ pouring with rain
Enjoy your day peeps - whatever you get up to!"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Good morning all.
It's a chilly one. I've sneaked back to bed while the central heating works it's magic. It's only 2°C outdoors.
..............
I'm up and about now and sipping coffee. Yesterday's fog has melted away and we've got weak wintery sunshine. It's a good few years since I saw fog as thick as yesterday's. I find it quite eerie when people materialise out of it and everything sounds different. I definitely try to avoid driving in it. It also reminds me of that John Wyndham book, "The Midwich Cuckoos". I think I also read a book called "The Fog" once too, but my brain appears to have erased everything but the title.
I may call at a supermarket later as it's been well over a week since my last visit, and my list is growing again.
When I go out I must look out for a 2025 calendar. I usually get a nice one for a Christmas present, but the person who usually gives it sadly died this year.
I also need to pick up our prescriptions that I put off before Christmas, even if I have to queue. At least I still have plenty milk. At one point there was 10 litres in the fridge, there's still about 3 litres.
It's good to hear "your" cat is getting more friendly, Flo. It's probably sneaking away from over excited children.

Good morning all, we have fog here as well.
Nothing on the cards today so we will potter about for the day.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
