The fog has come down again here. It's quite eerie

That is homely Nicos,thanks for sharing,the fog stared to disapate earlier on,but is back now the darkness is here,remember we are heading towards the lighter nights and hopefully better weather,don't know about others,but my fingers are starting to twitch a bit,am thinking onion seeds for starters,then a look through the seed collection,but first have to get compost into the warm for a few days,

Very cold here now. Not too bad during the day but I should have lit the fires a while back.

I've been thinking about seeds too, LD, but leeks rather than onions. What do you reckon?

Snoop what ever you have and want to sow,hence going through my stash,i will look and see if any flower seeds need sowing now as well,at the mo,they are all in catagories,but when i start it will end up a mess,hey up we on the wrong thread here,

Weird weather here today. We had two or three short sunny intervals but the rest of the day has been really foggy.... and cold. It's 2°C now. I've just looked at the weather forecast and we've got snow forecast for Thursday.

I've just been half watching Crocodile Dundee on TV for the umpteenth time. They seem to have cut so many bits out of it though.

I never made it to a big supermarket today, they were too busy, but I did pick up a calendar on my travels.

Rubbish sleep, then made the mistake of just ‘nipping ‘ onto the bathroom scales…….
Then I gave my tummy a rub as Sarah Millican suggests…” because it’s full of things I love” Very apt for this time of year

The thermometer says it’s -2C at the moment but the fire stayed in all night so it’s pretty cosy downstairs.
Anyone fancying a brew?

Morning all,still some heavy mist hanging around,but not as bad,i actually slept all night in the one postiton for 7 half hours,see miracles do happen ,just sipping a hot coffee,help yourself,Nicos you will have to give them scales a good talking too,sounds like mine,they know how to tell lie's,ref TV,i only watch what i fancy,otherwise i press the red button,i find that is ONE thing that i can do now is just me ,this year has gone so fast,i sometimes think back to the so called milenium,,that was i quarter of a century ago ,have a lovely day all

Damp and misty here today its an improvement of the fog, so thats ok. Domestics and soup making today probably a stroll at some point.

Morning all.

Bright blue here, I'm afraid, but extremely cold. Not the coldest night of the year our side of the valley but the other side all the oak trees have been nipped and the lower branches of the pines higher up. Unlikely to thaw at ground level all day there. This autumn I saw some mushrooms growing that side of the valley that I have never seen before, called earthstars. Amazing how they can suddenly appear out of the blue.

Just been out to turn my loaf in the oven around. The frost is now dripping off the trees by the house like heavy rain.

Sounds like I've got a day similar to yours, Bren. Got too many food items for the freezer planned, though. Making ravioli will be enough of a chore.

As for the scales, I'm putting off weighing myself till 7 January, when the festive season is really over here. The news is unlikely to be good...

Morning, a cloudy 8° here today. A visit to the supermarket is in order but not really looking forward to it.
