Good morning all.

I'm trying to decide which day will be less busy for supermarket shopping. Today or Monday? Normally I would avoid shopping on a Saturday like the plague but everything's topsy-turvy this week with the Bank holidays. Also if I don't shop today, or even if I do, what on earth do I fancy for dinner?

Afternoon all.

Fabulous fireplace, Nicos. I like that the stove is raised up.

I had to nip out for milk at 2pm yesterday, only to the next village where there is a co-op. I crossed over the M69 motorway bridge near to its end junction at Leicester and was astonished to see all three lanes back as far as I could see filled with queuing traffic, waiting to get off the motorway and into Fosse Park shopping centre. I hate to think of the snarl up around the roundabouts there. So glad I didn't need to go to the supermarket!

Morning all.

Bright blue again but very chilly start to the day. Feels like a counting blessings kind of day, so I shooed the smiles out early so they can share them.

Longish list of things to do for the day, but some of them very nice so don't really count as jobs to be honest. Some of them I've been putting off for a very long time (one for months...), but better start making inroads into them so I don't carry them over into the new year.

My phone says it's 8°C outside. I find that hard to believe as the car is still frozen.

I'm meeting one of my sisters, one of my nieces and both my great nephews for lunch at a local farm shop.

Jay, I am an avid reader, make jigsaws, I have a book of crossword puzzles and I enjoy watching re runs of favourite TV programmes.

Morning

Its a 8c sunny with a breeze here so the laundry will soon be on the line.

For indoor hobbies I'm like Bramble I do jigsaws and read then there's paper crafts/cards, knitting, crochet. I collect hobbies some I get back to like dollhouse miniatures and scrapbooking but others like lace making and quilling I'll never look at again.

Very late start for me.
Jay…I mostly enjoy researching family tree. Several hours can pass in a blink.
Knitting a bit, early winter is craft making Xmas decorations to sell at Xmas Fairs…. generally one jigsaw a year started in the winter, lots of reading, but mostly I enjoy planning the next project on the house…although that’s coming to an end - hopefully- this year. Just concentrating on fitted wardrobes from scratch at the moment , plus helping my son with adapting his architects plans on his house extension to make them more user friendly.
I’m looking forward to going through old family slides and putting those onto the computer .
I do like to cook/ bake too and top up the freezers.
Never a dull moment here!

Today will probably be a combination of any of the above
Might to a bit of driveway weeding…it all adds up so it doesn’t become overwhelming.

Whatever you all do today, do enjoy yourselves…and pass on a smile.

Happy lunch time all,i also am a late getter upper again,the weather looks ok ish,and the sun has a grin on it's face,and still cold as can be expected this time of the year,thanks for the smiles,they help to keep me in better shape,no that the wrong thing to say,as it's food that keeps my shape,feel good factor i should have said,oh what have you mods done to my brain,am house keeper mode,enjoy what is left of the day,

What an absolutely lovely family meet up. There ended up being nine of us in the end, with an over 90 year age range. I must admit family gatherings used to fill me with foreboding for decades. I used to avoid them if possible, as did lots of other family members. It is so wonderful that the dynamics have now altered and most of us can now happily meet up.

I have been good today,or should i say afternoon,given the time i woke up,i have been the home goddess working a shift or two,i do like the place to look nice before new year,

Morning ,yup another one of them,went to bed about 9pm,had nearly 2 hours,then had to get up,traped nerves in the back,i am prone to them,this is more of a nuisance than pain,sparks here and there,general iritation,had to get up,so i am going find something to do,

Glad you had a lovely get-together, GF. And sorry to hear about your back, LD. Hope you manage to have a good eyelid inspection at some point today.

Thick fog outside despite the forecast for bright sun. Chilly and not very inviting. Indoors will soon be nice, though, as Mr Snoop has just lit the range. The dog walk will have to wait...

The number of jobs on my list is shrinking. Phew. Though I have added a couple of new ones and some of the really longstanding ones are still on it.

Right, better make a move. Got a car insurance policy to sort out as the number one job today.
