The weather be mostly glum here ..
But….no wind nor rain , it just doesn’t seem to want to get bright.

Won’t make any difference to my day. I really need to finish off those leggings so I can give them to my daughter before summer arrives
A bit more weeding is deffo on the books as they are so easy to pull at the moment.

Hello again,not been to sleep yet,but have done the ironing,the nerves get traped Snoop,it can effect awayway or where in the body,i can feel when they get sore in the back,then i get anything from shrp tingles,anywere,or my feet,anckles or knees suddenly go on me,like i got broken bones,i have had it where i have been cripples for a day or 2,NO sympathy needed,as i just squeek and say words band from the dicionary,it does go away for a while,there lots of people out there that have far,far worse of than me,I also have been waiting for the chemist to bring my pills,was expected just before christmas,just rang them,to be tolled the DR has not responded,please phone them,,i am now waiting for a call back and ask whats the matter,the thing is,i have not had my thyroxin for a good week,and is starting to show ,dam body ,LD screems loud,

Good morning all.

I've been busy with domestics this morning. I cleaned the cooker .... That actually sounds far harder than it actually is as I put oven liners in from the first day I got it ..... but I did give the glass in the door a good scrub and the hob. I really am glad I got stainless steel rather than enamel this time. I did get one with the glass splashback/lid that can cover the hob. In my minds eye I think I was imagining it looking pretty with a plant on top when not in use. I don't think I've ever closed the lid apart from to clean it occasionally. I see people who have kitchens that look as if they should be in a showhome but maybe they don't get used as much as mine?

My pasta machine has now got a new home with my niece, who has just left home, as I haven't used it for years. I took at it for her yesterday. I even found the pasta drying frame too. She is really happy and will send me a photo of her first attempt. I've now got a bit of space in a cupboard.

I am going to do a proper grory hop next as even the freezer has got gaps..... and the wine supply is also low. I'm just waiting for the washer to finish it's programme.

We have hunters about the place at the moment. And loads of barking dogs. Needless to say Hibou is confined to the house.
We are apparently overrun with wild boar at the moment ( we saw a family of 6/7 running along our fence line the other day)
The local authorities have the right to allow hunting on land where the owner forbids it - if the numbers are excessively high.( he/ she is invited to be present if they want to keep an eye on their property )
We’re not sure if today is the day but it’s pretty noisy out there.
Its sad, but they do a heck of a lot of damage in a very short time.

Oh ek Nicos,just one thing,so Hibou has now left the GR ,can you get any free meat if you wish,
ref me,i have had this nuisance for several years,is apparenty wear and taire,the GP said.
You learn to live with things,moan and wine yes,then carry on ,just take things easier,ref pills,i had to ring the appointments line ,a ten mins wait,in order to get attention,said she will do it quick,THIS TIME,it was their mess up in the first place,my body is not liking not thyroxin at the mo,so taking things a bit easier,no choice,BUT i will bounce back,as i am a veteran at it now,x

The land owner doesn’t want any, and had asked if we want some…so we’ve said yes of course!
No idea if it’ll be one chunk or half a boar
OH has been busy stuffing our fruit into demijohns etc with spirits to make more space for the meat….but it’s hardly made a dent into the freezers.


Glad you are getting sorted Lottie….that sounds an awful way to be ending the year health-wise xxx

Good evening all. It was a dry cool breezy day but I managed to have a couple 9f hours tidying up the garden.
There are buds on my daffodils already.
Lots of dead leaves as we have trees behind our house.

Nicosl wild boar and alcohol...sounds like a medieval feast.

Lottie, I hope you get your medication sorted.
The sky is turning a lovely shade of pink/orange right now.

Afternoon

I’ve not really achieved much today apart from cleaning the bathroom, but it is the holidays.
Hopefully you’ll soon have your Meds sorted Lottie it’s not good to be let down like that.

Finally managed to get my bloods done! Got through to the GP straight away, bagged a cancellation for this afternoon . I have to have another one in a week's time, so booked it while I was there - sorted

evening all that sounds good Nicos,less off a boar,i hope i can get back to normal,what ever that is,when the GR shuts the doors,good you got the bloods sorted FF,i must admit,sometimes i dread going to bed,for fear off repetes,ihave been like this before,many moons ago,i may even just stay in my recliner chair,with the big quilt over me,i seem to have a better,but shorter sleep more often than not,either that or the hocky kocky,from bed to chair,in out ext,night night all,before i go,someone had lots off fire works near me earlier on ,heaven knows what we get tomorrow,

I did a grory hop early this afternoon. I was lucky. It wasn't too busy when I arrived. When I left though there were no car park spaces. I think I got everything I needed, and no doubt a couple of things that I didn't.

I did notice a tiny tree with pink blossom on it when I was out and about. I don't know what it was but I don't think it will be happy with the below freezing forecast for later in the week. Snow is now not forecast until Sunday.

Anyone else got Spring flowers showing yet? I have some green shoots of various bulbs etc, but no flowers.

We’re off in the camper today , just overnight, and will have a New Years Day walk around a lovely wooded lake.
This evening is more of a celebration here than Xmas from what we’ve seen ( usually celebrating ( eating) until stupido’clock.fr ), so I’m guessing it’ll be rather a quiet morning down by the lake.

I’ll be around on here though, can’t start the New Year without chatting with everyone on here
