Cold and cloudy start to the day, but no fog as yet (got very foggy yesterday at midday despite the nice blue morning).

Decent day ahead. Bit of work, bit of baking, some domestics and if the fog holds off, a bit of gardening. All these new 2025 threads that people are contributing to are making me very keen to get going.

I was thinking of nipping for a quick grory hop but there’s nothing I can’t cope without, so I think I’ll hunker down certainly for today seeing as we have heavy rain forecast this weekend and it would probably be safer to drive the country lanes then.

I’ll probably start taking down the decorations.

Good morning all.

According to my phone it's 3°C outdoors but the car, in the shade, is still an icy blob. I hope the vaseline on the door seal has helped it stop freezing shut. I don't know if it's a design flaw or just a really good seal?

I am feeling pleased with myself for not only doing all the jobs that I'd earmarked for yesterday, but extras too. Unheard of! In about 100 years I'll have worked my way up to "domestic goddess".

The only thing I've accomplished this morning is ordering Mr GF some underwear online. Our M & S, in the city centre, is right in the middle of a pedestrian precinct, so I'm having it delivered.

I must call and see my brother in law today, and take him his latest half Christmas cake. I'm already thinking my next cakes will be date and walnut loaves, to use some of the dates that my sister got me for Christmas. I've even bought walnuts in anticipation.

Keep warm everyone. Don't let Jack frost nip at yor fingers and toes.

Morning, seems to have been a bit of a thaw overnight. It’s still a chilly but sunny 1°.
Nothing much on the cards just a quick visit to the supermarket.

Good morning all, its 3 degs here and the sun is shining.
I intend to nip out for bread and milk as the forecast is full of doom and gloom.
Not a lot else, so I might put some of the Christmas decorations away in the attic.

Due to us both being poorly over the festive period, most things were cancelled and we failed to get one couple a gift each. So been and got them today, it's great doing Xmas shopping this time of year, everything is half price lol.
