Te he…well done gf….that put a massive grin on my face…which is clearly the best way to start the day!…well, that and a cup of tea!

Not heard yet from the delivery people re the exact oil delivery time yet so I’m just sat enjoying my brew and waiting.

Gosh Jay….I wouldn’t be worrying too much about weight gain….I think we’re probably all in a similar situation following Xmas and New Year festivities Tummies full of things we love!
Now comes the focus for most of us to undo that gain

Time for porridge me thinks…it feels like that sort of weather doesn’t it?

Morning all.

Everywhere looks beautiful today under a thick hoar frost. It justs needs the sun to get out of bed to make everywhere sparkle.

I need to pop out to collect Mum's tablets today, so I hope the sun will help defrost the car too.

Nicos, Im sure when you get a delivery time for anything "from 7am onwards", what they really mean is "our delivery lorry will be departing the depot at 7am". Then it depends how far away you are.

Morning all.

Blue and nowhere near as chilly this morning as you've all got it. Stay warm and safe anyone, going out. No slippy, sliding, LD, so save your stilettoes for another day!

Yesterday was less productive than it might have been. Need to shake both legs today.

On the positive side, though, yesterday's fruit loaf is a winner. Very hot cross bunny. Not that much of it left already...

As for the smiles, Nicos, they set off in good time. Maybe they spent longer than usual at Flo's, having an audience with Lord Ginger and enjoying the good news about Harry.

Another frosty day here the gardens still has a couple of inches of frozen snow, at this rate it'll be here a while.

Porridge here as well Nicos with rhubarb and yoghurt this morning.

I hate clothes shopping and when I do find fleece/trousers I like I'll buy 2 or 3 of them. Charity shops are my favourite you never know what you'll find.

Utter joy! I have had a proper decent sleep. I think I only half awoke once when Mr GF went to the loo at some point when it was still dark. Seven hours of bliss, practically unheard of.

I got a text earlier saying my niece's birthday present would be delivered, to her mother's, between 8.18 and 10.18. I forwarded the text to my sister. Evidently it has now been delivered.

I am sitting in bed at the moment, waiting for the central heating to work it's magic, and the thought of coffee to overcome my inertia.

It's a chilly -4°C outdoors and supposed to be sunny. Maybe it will be, but not yet.

Good morning all. The thaw has arrived here, not a sign of frost and its 4 degs.
I must go into town this morning to pick a gift for my granddaughter

Morning all,took a look outside and thought,i am NOT going out in that,everywhere is frozen,even the paths look shinny,and deffo no Snoop,i have never worn stilletoes,i have always put comfort before fashion ,as for shopping,i only go when i need to,no matter what it is,then have a quick flick about,i hate crowded places, stay safe all,do not take any chances,

Well, the fuel arrived…but we’d been booked in for the wrong type

No idea why as we’ve bought from there for years now.
Fortunately he had 1,000 litres of the correct type he could provide. I’m guessing it’s someone else’s order?…. But I had no idea those large containers actually carried both types at once. You learn something every day!
It wasn’t enough to fill up our tank but will certainly last many months.

Morning, it was -6° at 9.30 this morning, it’s now -4 ° and we have to meet friends in the city for lunch. Could do with just staying home.

I tend to add fruit juice or Calvados and spices/ zest/ finely chopped nuts or other fruit to the pan whilst it’s on the hob. Just for a change.
