Looks like we have a dusting of snow and it looks like we might get some more, no mention in the forecast on the BBC? 1 degree and calm, storm forecast for Friday, hope all have got the hatches battened down.

Burnie I look at BBC, Met office and MSN weather its rare that they agree on the days forecast
unless its something like Fridays Storm.
Sounds like those home visits are perfect for you and your mum MH.
Not much planned here today apart from sorting out recycling I'm sure theres few cardboard boxes from out of guarantee items that need to go.

And yes to home visits like that, MH. My mum used to have those. Sorry to hear about your mum's eyesight, though.
As for here, ten minutes of blue sky and we're back to cold and cloudy. Very grateful for those ten minutes, though, as I'm sure you'd all welcome them, especially you, burnie.
I've just about caught up with work, miracle of miracles.
And I have at last completely thrown off my cold and have my sense of smell back. Some upsides, some downsides to the latter, but can't have everything!

I've been wide awake since 5am for some reason, so i've been wrapped in the duvet sitting at the PC playing games. I found redactle hard today. The heating has come on now, so I'll get "properly up" as my mother would say, and then the first cuppa of the day.

Rain here for the day
In summer I'm up between 6-30 -7am but winter time when its dark and horrid out and the beds nice and cosy it's usually an hour later.
Flo is easier to return something if you still have the box, it saves messing around trying to find something the right size.

Good morning all.
Yesterday did not go to plan. I got quite a few domestic jobs done in the morning, floor washing, etc. The hairdresser came and tidied up our hair. It was after this, while having a cuppa that I started to feel "off it." We both ended up spending the afternoon in bed, feeling sick and just generally rough.
Fortunately, I'm feeling much better this morning. I will try and get to Aldi later, as well as dropping off some bits for my brother in law.
At least I got up before the window cleaner arrived this morning. He does a good job ... and only charges a fiver!
Mind you, I don't think my hairdresser has raised her prices in 15 years! If I get some more lemons today I'll set another couple of jars of preserved lemons off, and she can have a jar on out next appointment as a tip. She said her family really enjoyed the fruit cake I gave her in December. Yesterday she got strawberry jam.

Morning all.
Late on parade again today. I overslept really badly. Oops. Ordinarily, I get up 7.30ish at this time of year. In summer, between 5.45 and 6.00. Has to be early otherwise I'd never get any gardening done. Too hot by 10.30 am and if I was sensible I'd stop at 10.00 if not earlier.
Currently cloudy here, but the forecast says brighter this afternoon and tomorrow. Which is good because the food mixer can come out to play this afternoon for buns for gifts and, with the proofer, for bread tomorrow. I've just moved a thermometer into the kitchen. Admittedly the range isn't lit at the moment, but it's 14 ºC in here. No wonder bread takes forever and a day. And no wonder I wear so many layers, even indoors.
Right, work calls. Good to be up-to-date, so don't want to fall behind again.

Moring all,another one here late up again,this next weather system sounds bad,take care all,hope you both feel better today GF,happy cooking Snoop,no seeds turned up yet,but,on getting some clean bed linnen out,thought where the ek is the bottom sheet,after common sence thinking i found it,it had slipped out the back of the under bed draw and onto the floor,Phew,it did stretch the old marbles,all back together present and correct,have a good day
