    • Good afternoon Folks, just on to let you know that I am still in the land of the living, unfortunately I have been getting my moneys worth out the NHS as I have been at the Q. E. hospital for a nerve test, fortunately it wasnt a test to see how nervous I am, being a married man I am on tenterhooks all the time, but to see how the nerves on my hand and arms responded to stimulus, it also measured the reverting of my carpal tunnel syndrome as well , on a scale of 1to6 both hands are a high five, and by that I dont mean a good to meet you greeting, I have also been for an X-ray on my back which has shown that I have arthritis across the top of my hips which severely limits me as I found out in Saturday when i went over to collect some seaweed as I could only manage half the amount I normally collected, however I dont intend it to prevent me from doing my garden, I have also been to see the consultant re the carpal tunnel, he told me that he cannot get the sensitivity back into my fingers but can sto the sever pain that I am getting, so he marjed me down as urgent and on tha I have just received a phone call asking if I would be available on the 14th. so hopefully I will eventually start getting a full nights sleep, just writing this post has led to four or five stoppages during the writing of it , anyway I am back but wont be as regular for a time , hopping you are all well and passing on the smiles

      • rary lovely to hear from you and happy to hear that you're going to get some help with your hands. I've missed your witty repartee.

        • Afternoon all.

Good to see you here, Rary, but sorry to hear about your hands and hips. Sounds positive that at last you've got medics on your side. Fingers crossed you get some relief.

You might be in with the doctor as I write, LD. Hope they come up with something for you. Mr Snoop has been on and off poorly with something similar for weeks. Shows a bit of improvement and then a week or so later is struggling again.

Hope the hospital appointment went OK, GF, and that your gasket remains unblown.

Have a great rest of the day, everyone.

          • Last year I turned up at the hospital in Dundee and the car park was solid, cars parked on grass verges, cars anywhere, so I joined in and just made my appointment. When I returned I had a parking ticket £40, the hospitals reply,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,turn up an hour early then you MIGHT get a parking space. Good job guns are controlled in this country, in America I might have shot someone........................

            • Good to see you posting Rary hopefully now you've been seen by the hospital they'll give you the treatment you need.

Lottle I hope your appoint goes well.

Spent most of the afternoon in the garden and we can actually see the difference, that does make a change.

              Enjoy your evening.

                • I took my brother in law for his appointment. As expected there were no parking spaces, blue badge or otherwise. I parked in the drop off zone, escorted him in with his rollator, and then helped him into a wheelie chair, the sort that the porters use. I informed the reception desk that he would require assistance and took his rollator back to the car (I didn't want him attempting to walk the miles of corridors with it and falling yet again), and went to wait for a parking space. Over an hour later I eventually got a parking space reasonably near to the door. My brother in law then rang me to say he was done. I went back with his rollator, helped him back to the car, and took him home.

We then called at the fish and chip shop on the way home.......

                      • Good evening all. Spent a bit of time in the garden and greenhouse this afternoon.
First time in a while, felt do good to be back in action, but ran out of energy fairly quickly.

Rary, its lovely to see you back but do sorry to hear you're in pain.
Hopefully you will get the support and help that's needed to get your pain sorted.

Lottie, good that you got an antibiotic, hopefully they will kick in in a few days.

Burnie, parking is a problem no matter where you go, but £40 is a disgrace...I would fight it....

Hope all feel better soon, some nasty viruses on the rounds.
                        Have a good evening all.
